Hello and welcome to my favorite and most random blog day - WHATEVER WEDNESDAY!!!
Last week, Sarah’s comment/question was eaten by the spam monster, so i’ll be a nice friend and answer her’s: If you had to live one place for the rest of your life, and it couldn’t be where you are right now, where would it be?
St. Simons Island. hands down. no question ’bout it! we lived there for 5 years before moving to seminary. its like home to us…
And our last question of the day came from D Rho: You’re a superhero. What would your superpower, character backstory, and costume be and why?
well, truth be told, i’ve already been a superhero. i was a superhero in a superhero skit once. i was invisible girl… some of the other characters were late-timing guy, billy the bus driver, gibberish man (that was drew, my husband), captain obvious, caffeine commando. i carried a LARGE white sheet in front of me (hanging down like a shower curtain) that read “you can’t c me” in big black letters… that was my costume - real elaborate, i know. i had no role but to walk to the area of stage where i would have to start leading worship immediately after the skit was completed. we needed some way to move me in place without being “seen”. LOL - so they made me “invisible”. and i did the voice over for a really bad ninja charlie’s angel kind of girl… it was funny - like those delayed voice overs of foreign movies. it really was funny, because no one could figure out where my voice was coming from… anyway, i guess you had to be there.
now, for our starter question, since i’ve been writing about friends this week: what’s the most most quirky characteristic of one of your friends?
the rules: you answer the last question left, and leave a new question for the next commenter.

She snaps her gum.
Oh how I hate this!! it’s irritating.
But G is my best friend, she knows absolutely everything about me and still loves me. She has trained and helped me to be the woman of God that i have become today.
Together, as her husband preaches we do ministry together.. what an awesome thing to do together? I’d prefer it over shopping.
My question: What recent dream have you fulfilled?
Holly Smith // September 12, 2007 at 10:27 am
It’s minor, but I finally got a menu begun for our family of four (it saves on groceries and time). The dream is to get more organized.
What is one quality in a friend that you most enjoy?
Fred // September 12, 2007 at 10:59 am
I most enjoy Craig’s passion for Christ, His Word, and the way he stirs me up to be a man of God … he just launched his new blog (a href=”http://craigwalker.typepad.com”>H20 Living Water) which is a daily devotional that is STIRRING ME UP every day. I spent 2 hours every day in prayer and worship with him when I was on staff as his Worship Director in Vicksburg, MS, and still spent a few days praying/fasting with him each January .. he’s a friend, a ministry partner, and like a Spiritual Dad.
Now … of all the praise/worship songs out there … what one LYRIC (like a sentence or phrase) is your FAVORITE right now?
For the Kingdom,
Fred

It is the most sincere desire of my heart these days…
This is from my favorite song The More I seek You.
If you were not worried about money what would you do with your time?
Brooke // September 12, 2007 at 11:40 am
Yay…great question Fred-o
Mine is
“And now the weak say I have strength
By the spirit of power that raised Christ from the dead
And now the poor stand and confess
That my portion is Him and I’m more blessed”
From Hillsong United’s “Savior King”
It reminds me that He is all I need, not money, power, fame, etc. Just Him. And I’m “more than blessed”!
?? - I love reading new blogs, so what’s two great blogs you’d recommend for daily reading?

OK I want to answer another one…is that ok? I meant to say earlier a family of four children, ’cause actually we are a family of six. Yikes!
And Mandy I loved the Heavenly Man, esp the part that says with God’s help I can scale a wall and he did!
I think Kevin has two pair: tennis shoes and boots. Just a guess.
My next question is what is your very favorite restaurant that makes your mouth water?
tam // September 12, 2007 at 4:38 pm

New Question: What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
Boy & Girl // September 12, 2007 at 9:23 pm
I don’t think I’ve ever had an overall job that I did not like; just parts of it. In high school I babysat a lot which was fun, but one night the kid threw up everywhere. It was awful, I really lost interest in babysitting after that.

I will answer the question so I don’t throw everyone off…
My best birthday present ever was when my Best Friend, who had moved to Florida six weeks before my b-day, showed up at my doorstep the morning of my birthday. She had flown up to Michigan to surprise me. It was the best weekend ever and by far the best gift!
Ok…new question

Julie // September 12, 2007 at 10:47 pm
Breakfast in bed handmade by my three and five year old. It was a cup of dried bran flakes (no milk), some water, a special card, and a banana. I will cherish their love and care forever!!

dreamingBIGdreams // September 12, 2007 at 10:57 pm
Ah the weather … So much better these days then it was a few weeks ago. I live outside of Nashville and if I were to be sitting outside in my backyard on my patio I would need a sweater.
LOVE IT! Usually about 85 during the day!!! LOVE IT!

Whats your favourite oxymoron? Mine is “pretty ugly”
tam // September 13, 2007 at 12:59 am
Favorite oxymoron? “jumbo shrimp”
Have you ever had a really embarrassing moment in public? And what was it???
tam // September 13, 2007 at 1:04 am
Where do I start?
Once in Junior high, I was wearing some old pants. I was being announced as the chaplain of the school in chapel that day. I did not realize till afterwards that my zipper had fallen apart and there was a gapping hole where the zipper once held together. I was kind of confused why the 7th grade girls in the front row were “laughing in the Spirit”
OK next question, Can Drew come out to play yet?
And Mandy, don’t worry about my moderated comment, bgraef has already answered. You and Drew can enjoy on your own
inWorship // September 13, 2007 at 1:05 am

Dude,
Can’t believe I missed this week. I was fastly and furiously engaged in worship leader job finding yesterday and didn’t blog too much. I’ll have to hit it up next week.
Fred // September 13, 2007 at 1:38 pm
