happy wednesday before Christmas! this is when the shopping madness begins!!!
so, for Tam’s last question (am i a grumpy shopper this time of year?) – the answer is a resounding YES! i am NOT a fan of big malls and advertising and commercials and all that junk…. and, to know that i have little choice but to give these people my money, it frustrates me! i think our country is WAY too commercialized – its awful. i don’t want ‘them’ to win! call me Scrooge. i’m ok with it!
ok, starter question: do you have a relative or friend that is impossible to shop for? and, what are you getting them for Christmas this year?
A. YESSSS!!!! My in-loves. We let the boys paint them something this christmas. Financially, it’s hard this christmas because of our last year so we let them paint, plus it will be something they treasure b/c the kids did it.
Q. If you could spend 24 hours with someone who has passed away in your life, who would it be? Why?
My mother’s father. I never met him b/c he passed away when my mom was in 7th grade. He’d probably have some great insight into my mom and her siblings which would be VERY helpful right now…

I got the internet in 1996 I am thinking….and the first impressions was, ” Wow, this is really weird but cool.”

A: I got a bottle of wine for two of my bffs @ seminary – i’ve never bought alcohol for anyone before! it was a strange adult experience for me!!! LOL.

I’ve gotten most of mine already….good boyfriend, air for my car…and something I wasn’t supposed to know about but do:) So I am not complaining:)

Interesting dichotomy – when I tend to feel good about life I feel good about myself as well and vice-versa. Although, if I had to pick I’d say me. Even if life is crappy and everything out of my control seems to be going wrong, I’d like to know that I’m handling it with integrity and choosing wisely to act within the sphere of things I can control (I like my own thoughts and attitudes.)

Question: Do you view charity as a positive or a negative thing.
A: I have been struggling with this thought–on one hand, we need to help those who need it, those who cannot do for themselves, need an “extra boost” or any of all the other positive reason. However, there are some who become more enabled and dependent with charity. This is where I’ve had trouble lately—with a friend who is a great guy, but charity from friends is his life!
Q: If you felt with little/no doubt God calling you to pick up and totally change your life (e.g. move, change jobs, etc), yet you “had it made” and were very comfortable where you were—what would you seriously do?

yup! I can honestly say, I like new…movement…change. Besides, what does “making it” really mean? I’ve made it in things before and I never have gotten what I expected. God is the only one that has never let me down. I’m good with wherever He wants me…whenever He wants me
