“my interview with one of Am’s Nxt Top Models”
- or -
“just HOW REAL is reality tv?”
so, as they were headed out the door, she says: “don’t you love these sunglasses? they are vintage ’80s!”…. i responded with shock and confusion: “um, when did the ’80s become vintage!?!” … then the young owner of the sunglasses laughed and said “uh oh… time to go. i gotta get outta here now!”…. and i laughed even louder and said “yeah! leave NOW!!! i’m traumatized!”
this was after our mini-conversation about her six weeks of filming for Am’s Nxt Top Model. she had some interesting stuff to say about the show.
she just finished taping right before Christmas. she was only able to make 4 phone calls during the six week experience… so she’s missed her family LOTS! she said the time taping that show was crazy. no sleep. hectic schedule. isolated from everyone. no cell phones. no music. no nothing. just all those stressed out hormonal girls doing wild shoots and fighting.
sounds realistic, huh?
after taping she moved back home (while maintaining her supermodel looks) and will get a regular job and just hang out like she’d never been on tv. why? bc ALL the participants had to do that… NOBODY can know who won. nobody. if anyone gives away the ending of the show, they’ll be strapped with a $5 mil law suit.
so, we’ll see how REAL reality TV really is!
and, um, about the vintage ’80s sunglasses……
if items from the ’80s are considered vintage, and i was born in the ’70s, does that make me an antique????
checkin’ my hairline for grays,

I always wondered why Oxxy was being played on the classic rock stations? that doesn’t make sense. I am in my thirties. Should music I grew up with be “classic”???
I have no issues with y age

Yep, we’re old. I knew I was old when the 80’s music became an infomercial! Oi!
I miss you, too. Your plants say hi.

That is one of the reality shows on Bravo that I’ll catch myself watching marathons of every now and then. That’s how Bravo works… there are the set times when the new shows air… but throughout the day building up to that the whole season up to that point plays of that show. Anyway…
I’m stuck on that network… and the reality shows on that network (TOP CHEF, America’s NTM, etc.) WAY too much. Can you picture me glued to America’s Next Top Model?

I was born in the 80’s and the thought of someone possibly thinking I am vintage absolutely horrifies me! I’m still a spring chicken and plan to remain that way!
