she was mad at him all day because of a rather serious dream…
it all started about six weeks ago:
my bff Krissy kept calling our apt to find me, but Drew answered instead. it frustrated her SO much and she couldn’t figure out why until she remembered the dream…
the night before she dreamed that he got me the same thing for Christmas that she had. this made her SO angry that she woke up angry & stayed angry all day!!! so, when she called again, she decided to tell him about the dream. and to let him know that she got me tickets to see the Blue Man Group.
ofcourse, he assured her that he’d never buy me tickets to see Blue Man Group, he has no desire to go to their show in Boston, and wasn’t even thinking about doing that anyway! there’s no way he’d get me those tickets, and he’d just forget all about it. so, Krissy could rest assured, he wouldn’t ruin her rather expensive gift for me.
then he successfully managed to forget about the whole conversation.
here’s where things got interesting: a few weeks later (JUST before we were packing to leave for Georgia) Sarah knocks on our door needing help with Christmas. she wants to surprise her husband with tickets to see Blue Man Group. as she’s explaining it to me i tell her that i’ve ALWAYS wanted to see their show and have been BEGGING drew to take me but he won’t…. so, we decide that Sarah would present this GREAT Christmas idea to Drew.
it had been a few weeks since Krissy had talked to him…
he’d gone through a rigorous week of finishing papers and tests…
we were in the middle of snow storms and didn’t know if we could fly home for Christmas…
so, can anyone guess what my husband got me for Christmas this year?
and, can anyone guess how long it’ll take Krissy to forgive him NOW?!!
does krissy know yet?
drew…really…were you even paying attention when you talked to krissy?? this is such a male thing (sorry to all of you guys…but you know it!!)
so, do you get to go see them twice, mandy? that could be a really fun thing…
kim: seeing as how these ticket thingies are non-refundable, i’m thinkin i DO get to see them twice!!! (well, unless we can maybe sell some tickets to someone else… hint hint.)
