WHATEVER WEDNESDAY – 1.9.08

235696308_d70e60c0cf.jpghello everybody! i’m sure that most of you have returned to the blogging world by now, after possibly “abandoning your posts” for the holidays. he he!

ok. last weeks final question was from bellissimanh: what’s your favorite christmas tradition? i think this came up the week before and i jumped at the chance to answer it – i’m a SUCKER for opening presents! i LOVE LOVE LOVE it! just ask my bffs – i’m SUCH a brat on my birthday. SUCH a brat.

now, for our starter question: would you rather live in a place where the loooong summer can sit above 95 degrees, or where the loooong winter can sit below 25 degrees?

now, kids, play nice – don’t leave anybody out. ;)

answer the last question in line and leave a new one…. thanks for stopping by!

  1. A. Where the summer can be above 95 Degrees … you can cool off in the pool and the kids can play outside more. No one wants to be stuck in side with kids when the weather is below 25! Being inside too long leads to boredom, which leads to cranky kids! I would always choose Summer :)

    Q. Do you have a life verse? If so what is it?

  2. ” However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may run the race and complete the task given me, the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.”
    -Acts 20:24

Its always about sharing your story of how Jesus Christ changed your life….and it should never become a tangent, but always being real and sticking to the meat of it:)

    Next question:
How would you start someone out on getting to know Jesus?

  3. If I’d already shared the gospel with them, I’d encourage them to start having a devotional/quiet-time/whatever you want to call it every day. Beth Moore had this really great prayer guide I used to use in college (and of course I can’t remember the name), but it helped you pray methodically each day. It had a short devotional reading based on scripture and then there were sections for you to write in your prayers. There was a section to present your sins to God and ask for forgiveness, then a section to praise God, then a section to present your prayer requests to God, and a couple more sections but I can’t remember.

It really helped me out my freshman year of college when I had so much thrown at me each day, but I knew I could find the time to do a devotional with God.

Ok, next question. What’s the last book you read and why did you choose it?

  4. The last book I read is titled “The Great Bridge” by David McCullough.

I chose it because I’ve read several of his books and I love them. can’t get enough of well written history books.

Q: How do you spend your time when you’re NOT doing some sort of work?

  5. A: GREAT question – i watch episodes of Friends, hang out with real friends, work on writing/recording songs, or just spend time with my man!

Q: when/if you get bored at work, how do you pass the time?

  6. Q: Olympic sport you find awesome?

I love watching Gymnastics! I think it’s fascinating and so darn impressive!

New Q: How would you describe color to someone who has never seen color?

if that’s too hard of a Q – then if you could have any dream job and not worry about pay, what would it be?

  7. I’ll answer both since I am a newbie to Whatever Wednesday and am hoping I’m allowed to just jump in!

New Q: How would you describe color to someone who has never seen color?
I think I’d compare it to tastes and textures of eating. Maybe that would work?

if that’s too hard of a Q – then if you could have any dream job and not worry about pay, what would it be? I would be a birthing consultant! I’d help people make baby registries, install carseats (I’m a safety nut), be a doula at the birth and then help with breastfeeding and newborn care! I love babies!

New Question…How did you find Mandy and start participating in Whatever Wednesday?

  8. New Question…How did you find Mandy and start participating in Whatever Wednesday?

I can’t remember! I think Mandy was one of the first people to ever comment on my blog…she got me rollin’! I’ve only “known” here since July last year, but it feels like I’ve known her for years! She’s one of my favorite blog friends. She is precious and priceless~

New Q: What is the best, or most interesting, thing you have discovered while blogging?

  9. A: well, for starters, i’ve discovered that if i offer Tam a small bribe, she’ll say nice things about me on the internet. like: “she’s one of my favorite blog friends” and “she is precious and priceless”….. ;)

Q: is there a blog out there that you constantly LURK and don’t leave comments bc you don’t wanna let on that your lurking???

  10. A: LOL. Did you just leave a comment on my blog so that it wouldn’t be a “yes” to this question for yourself? Um… well I read Chris Moncus and David Yarborough’s blogs but I’ve never commented (but it’s not b/c I don’t wanna let on that I’m ‘lurking’, I don’t think)… and David doesn’t even know who I am.

Q: Okay I’ll tell on myself, because I’m lookin’ for pointers. What do you do when your temper is exploding? I mean… what to you physically do to curb it (I’m not talking about like counting or praying… I mean what physically do you do instead of smashing your laptop, throwing your phone, or breaking your windshield… all things I’ve been known to do in my glory days)? Tip: if it’s a hot bath or shower, I wish I were you and that worked for me!

  11. Q: Okay I’ll tell on myself, because I’m lookin’ for pointers. What do you do when your temper is exploding?

Well, I cry. Not by choice but when I get to the point where i am angry that is how my brain responds…by crying. The only thing is, is that usually makes me more mad that I’m crying. So I think something loose in my brain somewhere cause that natural reaction isn’t working out so well.

    New Q: WHERE IS EVERYBODY?

  12. “New Q: WHERE IS EVERYBODY?”

Answer: Why I have no idea Tam. Strange. Could be the East coasters are off to sleep. The ones in the middle are brushing their teeth. And the West Coasters, like you (Tam) are probably laying bed next to inWorship who closed his laptop early and decided to watch Anaconda – What?!!!

New Q: Has Tam lost her mind?

  13. “New Q: Has Tam lost her mind?”

Answer: What??? Tam lost her mind! Someone tell inWorship! That might concern him!

New Q: Are any of you losing sleep over the poor Spears family drama?

  14. “New Q: Are any of you losing sleep over the poor Spears family drama?”

Answer: Of course you’re not! You’re all sleeping!

New Q: If you could get plastic surgery for free what kind would you get?

I’m done…I am SO not answering that one!

  15. LOL LOL LOL

OH MY GOSH!!!! TAM : you are OFFICIALLY the queen of Whatever Wednesday! if we were competing for a prize, you woulda won HANDS DOWN.

girl…. hope you got some sleep eventually.

now, i have to go examine every wrinkle and bulge to decide what kind of plastic surgery i’d get.
