now, THIS is a day to celebrate!!! it’s time for all of us bloggers to invite our non-commenting readers to come out of the no-comment-closet.

  1. To lie in wait, as in ambush.
  2. To move furtively; sneak.
  3. To exist unobserved or unsuspected: danger lurking around every bend.

to all my lurkers,

i was thinking about you this morning… wondering who you were. how often you read this blog. and whether or not we know each other in “real life”… i wondered what you thought about my Christmas gift fiasco, or whether or not you liked that hat i wore on the airplane a few weeks ago.

i wondered what country you were from. and wondered if you had your own blog out there that i could check as well.

and then i wondered why you might not leave a comment on my blog… maybe you didn’t think i’d care about your response, maybe you were embarrassed that you even read this… or maybe you don’t want me to know you’re out there.

but, then, i wondered if you knew that your silence leaves me feeling like i’m having a one-sided conversation with the world.

maybe i am just posting to the nameless, faceless world.

but i’d rather talk to you.

so, if you read this blog, but don’t leave comments (and i know who some of you are), this day is for YOU! consider this the PERFECT chance to say hello & introduce yourself… or (if i already know you) at least let me know you’re stayin’ connected with my world through this blog.

    I’m a sometimes lurker, sometimes commenter. Moving to Switzerland was the impetus to our “family” setting up a blog which really became “mom’s” blog. And I was led to yours through BigMama or BooMama or LPM blog or somehow as I find myself hitting links when I’m bored wishing I could talk to friends back in the States but they’re all still sleeping in bed.

    But because of you, Mandy, I now have a subscription to SongDiscovery and WorshipLeader and will hopefully be able to introduce a few new songs to our little International church in the near future. Thank You. My sister is also involved in music ministry and married to a pastor in CA and thus, I have a soft spot for all of you in Seminary (student or spouse) and out there spreading the LOVE. I am working on my “future generations” at home.

    And yeah, lurking is quicker when you’re in a need to speed read.

    Yes, I do stop by quite often - mostly everyday. I have you in my favorite blogs. sorry I don’t comment - just lazy or in a hurry or could it be “selfish”???? I DID love your hat and I laughed and laughed at your Christmas gifts… I even read it to Steve and my daughter, Rebekah - not Sarah, the one you know - only b/c I was talking with Rebekah when I read it.
    I’ll try to be more blog-friendly and not just lurk…

    Oh,I am definitely still around. I read every day. I laughed for the entire day when I read the blog about Chrissy and Drew’s gift fiasco! :) I also laughed about you being treated like an eight year old on the plane!
