235696308_d70e60c0cf.jpgWelcome to WHATEVER WEDNESDAY!!! where we talk about whatever, just to pass the time and round the bend to the end of the week…. yay!

UPDATE FOR NEW READERS: here’s how this works.  I start the Q&A by answering the final commenter’s question from last week’s WW.  THEN, i leave a new question to start the chain. After that, the first commenter of the day answers my starter question, then leaves a new question for the next commenter.

so, comments should start by answering the previous commenter’s question and then end by leaving a new question for the following commenter. :)

alright… i’ve done a lotta thinkin’ about tam’s final question: If you could get plastic surgery for free what kind would you get?

well, i thought my answer was gonna be that i would have a “chin lift” or whatever ya call it… but when drew saw the pic i took for y’all he said that my nose looked really big. [SIGH!] so i’m re-thinking my answer. and, yeah, he’s sleepin’ on the couch tonite!

in all honesty, i don’t know if i’d get plastic surgery – free or not. even though some people that i dearly love have had those kinds of procedures, i’m not yet sold on the idea that its ok. i think God makes us with our features for a reason… so i’m not sure if we should go changin’ all that – unless we are born with some kind of defect. i’m VERY ok with children with cleft palettes (etc) having plastic surgery – and i’m also ok with burn victims or accident victims (etc) having surgery to correct scars and wounds. NO problem. anyway, yeah, i’m just hesitant when it comes to permanently altering our God-given appearance. i know that the argument could be taken all the way to whether or not we should wear make up or change our hairstyles. i know how far the argument can go…. i know…. therefore, i don’t know.

OK. enough seriousness for me this morning! first question – What TV series will have you glued to your tube this spring?

here’s the rules: answer the last question, and leave a new question for the commenter after you! first commenter answers the above “first question”… and, kids, try not to skip your other friendly WW bloggers.

    A. Will there be any new shows this spring with the writers strike and the whole mess of the networks canceling contracts? If there will be Greys Anantomy always has me tuned and the rest of life tuned out for 1 hour each thursday night! :)

    Q. Keeping with Mandy’s TV question … If you could be on one of the reality TV shows which one would you want to be on and why?

  2. 2008 January 16

Amazing Race. I love traveling to other cultures.

If you had to spend the remainder of your life in a foreign country that you have never before been to, which country would you reside in and why?

  3. 2008 January 16

    A. i would reside in Cambodia. because i think that it has a lot of history and there are people there who dont know the lord. i would love to be a part of getting women and children out of the sex trades.

    Q. being that i am fasting, if you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be and why?

  4. 2008 January 16

A: I would say France. Even though they have some serious social issues, their depth of history attracts me. Besides, my daughter speaks fluent French, so she could help me out.

Q: If there was one thing you could change about the church you currently attend, what would it be?

  5. 2008 January 16

Okay I will be a good sport and answer both;)

    - If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be and why?

-If there is one thing you could change about the church you attend what would it be?

    Next question…

Ever have your 10 min of fame? If so when?

  6. 2008 January 16

hmmmm, if there was no pain involved and I had the $$$, I would get lipo on my thighs and tummy and of course get my bosoms bigger! LOL!

    vanity, vanity….

  7. 2008 January 16

hmmm, 10 mins of fame? Nope! I lead a very boring life! LOL!

  8. 2008 January 16

buy a house, pay off my parents’ house, tithe (of course) and save it up!

question: what is your favorite song right now?

  9. 2008 January 16

    Well, I’ll answer Jenn’s.

My favorite song right now is Kathryn Scott’s ” I belong” she is a vineyard worship artist who sang originally, ‘ This is the air i breathe.”

What is the toughest thing for you right now? Anything will work.

  10. 2008 January 16

OH NO! we have a MAJOR WW violation, people! [gasp!]

Q: what do we do with commenters who don’t follow the “Answer the last then Ask the next” rule of Whatever Wednesday?

  11. 2008 January 16

I’m just confused. What with all the questions and answers… ;) Surgery is painful. I don’t think I could chose an elective one. If I’m supposed to answer what do we do with people that break rules, my answer of course is to beat the hell out of…oh. Did I say that out loud? Does that count as my question? Am I breaking rules? I’m SO confused!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m like, Britney Spears on…no wait. She doesn’t need to be on anything…. ;D

  12. 2008 January 16

    A. i have no idea what kind of question that is mandy…

sidenote: I am anti plastic surgery except for special situations like burn victims…cancer etc. i believe in working out, and the line from delirious’? song Our God Reigns “Nip and tuck if you have the bucks ….God didn’t screw up when he made you!, He’s a father who loves to parade you” I think that says it all…If you haven’t heard this song. Check it out! It has an awesome chorus, it is simply yet powerful. “Our God Reigns, Our God Reigns, Forever His Kingdom reigns!”

    Q. What is your relationship with classical music? (by classical i mean in general…not specifically the classical era) I am listening to Ravel’s Bolero at the moment. A very fun piece. I also love Tschaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty,(which was adapted for Disney’s original Sleeping Beauty) Nutcracker and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.

  13. 2008 January 16

well, apparently linseleanne was posting at the same time I was, so I plead not guilty to violating the rules…

A: Classical music and I are still in the DTR phase (Determine the Relationship) which will move on into the HTD (Here’s the Deal). Right now I want to tell Classical music that they are interesting and I would like to get to know them more, BUT they need to give as much as they take. I wish that they had more lyrics sometimes. I guess I can only hang out with classical music as I practice piano or clean my house.

Q: What is your favorite CD in the new year right now?

  15. 2008 January 16

LOL! this is all hysterical really!

Imhelendt: LOL – no worries! new readers can sometimes be totally overwhelmed by the madness of WW. i updated today’s post with clearer instructions. hope that will help. ;)

Paul J: you are forgiven! redeemed by Ang.
    :)

Answer: my relationship with classical music – well, its really a love hate relationship. i LOVE listening to it, but hate that it makes me feel like a second rate musician ’cause i can’t even begin to wrap my mind around it… how’s that for honest?

A: favorite new CD – well, its lotsa stuff from the Wailin’ Jennys…. and i’m gonna use y’all’s suggestions and blow that iTunes gift card real soon!

Q: about the UFOs over Texas: whaddya think???

  17. 2008 January 16

I would answer the UFO question, but I’m ashamed to say I haven’t heard anything about it…sorry.

Q: Caution, Potential controversy approaching: Hillary or Obama?

  19. 2008 January 16

A: ronpai – LOL – no you didn’t! i gotta tell this – so, i took one of those online quizzes to see which candidate matched my thoughts, and it told me to vote for Hillary! does that mean i have to ? — bc i REEEALLLY like Huckabee! i mean, he’s Chuck Norris Approved AND he plays the bass better than Clinton played the sax.

Q: now that i’ve ‘fessed up, what about you – Hillary or Obama?

  20. 2008 January 16

A:-Hilary, for her more stable and realistic sense of foreign policy, but I do think Obama has a more menacing name.

Q:-What common error in speech or grammar bothers you the most?

  21. 2008 January 16

Ah man. I missed out on the Hillary or Obama question.

  25. 2008 January 16

Christi: LOL – thank you for the clarifications! :)

  26. 2008 January 16

Girl!!! I would sooo get a nose job by the way. I think I have big nose holes

“if you could trade places with anyone else who would it be?”

My daughter Kassidi. She’s sitting on the comfy green chair right now and I’m not! On a serious note…I would trade places with…Kassidi, my daughter. I would love to know what it feels like as a child to have both your parents. Know they love each other. know they support you. Know you’re safe. Oooo, I could go on! I need to go tell her how blessed she is :)

Next Q: If you could write your own words on your tombstone – what would they be? Eeewww,, morbid eh? Sorry!

  27. 2008 January 16

Tam, I have seen your picture and your nose is just right. You have a great smile and a different nose would just spoil it.

I am giving my body to Yale University for the medical students to parctise on, so no tombstone.

If I had one it would read, “My whoever is reading this enjoy their life to the fullest as I have.”

What is the toughest resolution you will try to keep in 2008?

  28. 2008 January 16

Woohoo! I finally get what WW is all about! This looks fun! But I didn’t set any resolutions so I’ll wait till the next question. It looks like today’s is filled with shenanigans anyway so I thought it’d be OK to interject my enthusiasm!
OK someone with a resolution answer!!

  29. 2008 January 16

LOL – worshipcity – glad the lightbulb finally came on for ya. ;) and shenanigans is an UNDERSTATEMENT! i’ve had one HECK of a time moderating today….. whew.

A: resolution: to read the bible in a year.

Q: because i just had a BLAST with two great friends: what’s your favorite thing to do with your girlfriends? (sorry, guys. this one’s for the ladies!)

  30. 2008 January 17

    Next question:
What was teh most amazing thing to happen to you lately?

And Mandy, go get Kathryn Scott’s cd…you will love it!

  31. 2008 January 17

  32. 2008 January 17

“What’s the most played song in your iTunes library?”

I had to go check. It is “Animal I Have Become” by Three Days Grace. Sorry if that offends anyone :)

    Mandy, Kathryn Scott is fantastic!

  34. 2008 January 17

“If there was a blogging convention in your area, would you go?”

No way…why would I want to go to some convention just to watch people type on their computers :)

Next Q – What will tam feel like when she sleeps on the couch tonight…after making a comment about Ty Pennington.

  35. 2008 January 17
