I twitter, but not regualrly. I’ve never set it up as a texting tool from my cell either. I suppose if I did that, I’d find it more interesting. All in all, I don’t think it will stick with me long
Mandy,
U know I do! And I know your itchin’ to twitter, haha!
Becky … although the general concept of Twittering is to tell people “what you are doing” – it doesn’t have to be used for that exclusively …
For example, I used it the other day to say “I’m working on a setlist for Sunday worship … any suggestions?” and some folks who follow my Twitter got back to me – one of which was a member of our church, and she had a great suggestion! (Thanks, Tracie).
It’s kinda a fun, social way to be involved w/ others, too .. it’s like sharing a big office together. Ya know, instead of just walking out the door, I’ll generally say “bye ya’ll, I’m headed over to pick up my kids from school – c’ya later” .. just being friendly.
It’s probably more suited to the outgoing personality, but I’ve actually enjoyed it .. plus, you can “direct message” back .. it almost becomes like an “IM session” sometimes.
to think is to create: let us know how it goes if you decide to “jump!”
Fred: ha ha! funny that you’re gonna send in backups to get me sucked in…. i think i’ve got my hands full with blogging, facebook, blogging, myspace, and more blogging! i’ve gotta save something for my life outside of cyberspace!!
I have seen the fun that “twitters” have in texting(?) to each other. I can barely keep up with the all blogs I read. If I added twitter I think my head would explode trying to keep up.
It does sound like fun. Of course I may be the last person in America who doesn’t even own a cell phone.
No, Its enough that Big Brother is watching me … if anyone found my day to day existence interesting, I’d have to tell them to get a life…lol, except maybe for some really good looking women…lol. I waste enough time on Facebook as it is.
Twitter has thus far worked in my favor. I think it has meaning for those with an exciting life, I don’t use it but I have benefited from it. Thanks to Fred… and I got to hear Sing to the King at church, girl you know I love that song. I am still so happy about it!
Love it. I love the ability to express things, but it’s almost more fun to follow everyone. I love the ability to get a quick snippet of information, I love the creativity, the conversations are fun and I always find myself laughing at something. I’d be curious what Mandy’s thoughts would sound like. Maybe a little scary
Do it! Love it! Know “what” it is but still figuring out “why” it is. Regardless, I’ve found it wildly fun. One of the most rewarding things about it is that it’s actually more personable than blogging sometimes.
Bert: i’m on the same page as you… its enough that Big Brother is watching me! ha ha!!! honestly, i sometimes feel strange about how much i throw out there for the world to read on my blog. so i don’t want a newsfeed of my life: going to starbucks, going to work, bored at work, wanting more starbucks, needing new worship songs, going to worship practice, writing new worship songs…. etc etc etc.
besides – i don’t really have anything exciting to share.
fred: as for facebook – ONE more application to add = yikes!!!
who knows, maybe one day we’ll all have a virtual cyber-existence & twittering will be the way to go. you know – like Neo hooked up to the matrix through wires in his head…. twitter takes us one step closer to that wiring. scary thought, huh?
I know what twitter is but I cant say that I want to let everyone in on my every move of every day. Sometimes you gotta have some privacy. Im not thinking I want to let everyone in that much!
I just started twittering myself but only two people on my email list are twittering. So I’m like the new kid in class who doesn’t know anyone. Look me up: bobbygilles

I twitter regularly.
Look me up: chozsun
I know what it is, but I don’t get it.
Why would I want to know what people are doing every minute of the day? Or why would anyone care what I’m doing?
Joe: why do you twitter?

Have a gr8 week!
FRED
seems pretty meaningless, time-wasting and annoying. but that’s just what i think… =p hehe. no i don’t
I’ve been considering jumping in…but I feel like–who would read? or care? It does sound fun…
lorijo …
I think you just summed up my existence!
that came across a little harsh…sorry….
lorijo: no worries…

Twitter can automatically update your FaceBook status .. so consider it “consolidation”.

what?
Jenny: LOL!!!!!! girl, if you get started, you’ll never be able to pull your fingers away from your computer screen!
I can’t figure out how you start following people (unless you know their email address, not their Twitter name). Argh.
Okay, I just figured it out. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, when it comes to stuff like this …
