six. that’s the number of v-day’s i’ve shared with my drew. six… feels like one or two, because i still love him that much.
i remember our first v-day. he’d made me dinner. he did that often when we were dating. OH, those were the days!
he made chicken parmesan with bread and a salad.
but, about that salad…. well, it was a baby spinach salad. and he was in a rush to get it all done, so he made the salad first, poured dressing all over it, and then placed it in the fridge. 2 hours later, when he’s setting the table. he pulls out a VERY mushy limp dismembered sad salad…
and i laughed.
and i take every opportunity to tell this story.
because its such a picture of how he LOVES to serve me… and i’m blessed every-stinkin-time….
i love that man. not for what he DOES for me, but for who he IS for me.
love him love him love him.
This is sooo great! I love reading this stuff.
Someday …
If only that were the extent of my cooking stories… but it’s all in the name of love! I’m cooking tonight, so pray for me (or maybe Joanna)!
My Andrew is cooking for me tonight. I wonder if he’ll be making a salad. Hee hee. A great example of “it’s the thought that counts”
Turns out we know someone…Jennifer Sangster. She’s a friend of mine from my college days. I guess she used to go to Elevate! Small world!
happy agape day =) i’ve been quiet for a couple days, intentionally. part of lent. but just wanted to say thanks, and i’m glad you are loving brooke =)
abbi: YEAH jennifer. WHAT a small world…. i miss elevate!
Here’s my results – “36% Dixie. You are definitely a Yankee.” I think my Oklahoma accent sometimes makes me sound more twangy than Yankee though.
i like reding your posting. Nice to meet you
