BIG brag... my man has such big vision... it's what started and fuels our ministry. he sees much farther down the road than i can, and can see over/around obstacles that are just roadblocks to me. he inspires me.

LITTLE brag... the other night, he decided to take care of dinner entirely. bought the groceries, prepped it all, and cooked it. pure bliss.

One of the greatest things my husband does is cooks! He's also really great at doing the laundry and even cleaning some. He even likes to grocery shop on his own! Its great not having to worry about fixing dinner or trying to figure out what to fix for dinner. (I'm not a great decision maker and so trying to decide on things like this take me way too long!)
And just last night my husband told me that he emailed my cousin just to "catch up" and because he thought maybe/hopefully it might help a little in mending some huge issues that my family is going through right now. My family used to be really close, but is fighting and dividing because of some issues that are out of my hands...but my husband knows how much it hurts me to see them going through this. Even though he hates all this drama (so do I!), this showed me that he's still thinking about it and trying to help in some way.

This one was hard. My husband does tons of little things that add up to a big thing. He makes being a wife easy for me. There are other roles in my life that are much harder. We argue and used to actually fight but I have never doubted his love or commitment to me. He is my best friend and we don't even have to have a date night to have fun or connect with each other. Tonight he blasted some music and we all danced around the house together. I think my favorite thing is how well he knows me. Sometimes I feel guilty because I feel like he puts more into our relationship than I do. But he doesn't seem to think he does. I guess the biggest thing he did for me was to get out of the Army after eight years because he realized it was too hard on me for him to be away from our family for long periods of time.

I love your site Mandy, very cool!

Not married so I will brag about my sister, Lynn, now deceased.

1) She took in "troubled" and abused children even though she raised five daughters of her own.

At her funeral over 1,000 showed up to pay their respects.

2) Her five daughters can actually be in the same room without fighting. :)

This is my first time to your blog but I see some familiar faces. I found you through Faith at All That You Can't Leave Behind.

Brag 1: Okay, it's hard b/c we just got in a big argument. But, big brag one is that he is the most natural worship leader I've ever known. That's actually how we met: when I was 17 I was enamoured with the hot worship leader at the front of the Bible Study with the great voice. When he leads worship, it is as if he was born to do it...his second skin.

Brag 2: Our internet connection went down at home yesterday and he suprised me by coming home to fix it. I didn't even ask. Plus, he already apologized for our big argument.

Love that guy. =)

Ok, my big brag is that 17 years after high school graduation and another job, my hubby has returned to college to be an elementary school teacher. In our area, there are lots of broken homes, kids without dads, and meth use is prevalent. When he decided to teach elementary grades, I was surprised, because he coaches high school baseball and I figured he would be more drawn to that age group. When I asked him about it he said, "There are too many children in our area who don't have positive male role models in their lives early enough. I want to try to be a Christian male influence in their lives sooner rather than later." I think that is awesome! In addition, he's a straight "A" student!

My "little" brag (which isn't all that little) is that since we married 8 years ago, he's done most of the laundry for me and cooked and cleaned the house more times than I can count. He appreciates that I work hard for our family outside the home, and he does his best to help me keep the household running smoothly. What a guy!!!!

OK - just one? LOL

Dirk built our home with his own two hands....and just a hammer. Heck, we were too poor for an air-gun at that time. And he's added on twice! (for all those kids).

He tells me ALL the time how much he loves me. I tell him that I love him too, and he says, "No, I REALLY love you!"

Sorry girls....my man's the BEST! LOL
