235696308_d70e60c0cf.jpgif you weren’t around last week, you missed an INTERESTING question from Tam, and it had something to do with bodily functions in public… i’m not gonna elaborate, but suffice it to say, she didn’t get an answer for a loooooong time.

traciejane closed things down last week. she left an interesting question: What are the things that make you cry?

this is interesting because traciejane knows me in real life, and she knows that i don’t cry. BUT, i’m finding that i cry more and more these days. and i’m surprised at what does make me cry. i’ve actually gotten all misty-eyed a few times this week. and i’m still trying to get over the shock of it. sunday afternoon i was learning a new worship song. and i couldn’t get through the words without choking up. (note: its VERY difficult to sing with a lump in your throat)… and monday my heart just melted when i got a special gift from my met-on-the-net friend. i mean, seriously, WHO cries over something from someone they haven’t even met? that’s about it. can’t remember the last time i cried before that. it was probably when i had that emotional breakdown when drew was out of town.

ok! starter question: can somebody clear up the St. Patrick’s Day confusion for me? exacty WHEN is it this year?
y’all know the rules: answer the last, leave the next. play nice! ;)

    Hey Mandy,
According to the “US Holidays” calendar that I’m subscribed to in iCal, St. Patty’s is Monday, March 17. As for the crying … I nearly lose it with a few movies … oddly enough, the magical ending of “Polar Express” chokes me up. The two times I’ve watched the Passion of the Christ, there are two spots in there where I nearly lose it completely .. I was dumb enough to watch it on a flight once, and just sobbed back there, everyone was looking at me like I was an idiot!

    My question:

    I’ll answer Heather’s:
Most Romantic Date: probably the night I proposed to my wife (then girlfriend). Nothing spectacular or outrageous, just the notion of what was coming throughout the whole night. Went to eat at the Beaver House in Statesboro, came back to the Wesley Foundation Building (where I was living in an apartment), lit some candles, sang a song to/with Joanna, and then popped the question… had the ring hidden in my guitar case… it was great
