LOVE this! You are so funny!
Thanks for kicking of St. Patrick’s Day so well!
you are hilarious! happy st. paddy’s day!
rachelpage: girl, you know i ain’t right!
Great video! I am so glad you found a camera because that was too too funny! I tried to do the “accent” with the girls, but they just looked at Mommy like I was a weirdo. Oh well, I still think they enjoyed watching it since Lizzie keeps asking “where Manny go?”
i love it!
(and i loved getting to see/hear you… my met-on-the-net friend!)
Steph: AWWW!!!!!!! “where Manny go?” AWWWW!!!!!!!!!! you teach those girls an Irish accent!
Alece: YOUR turn to make a video!!!
uhhh…. i may have forgotten to tell you that creativity isn’t my strong suit.
mandy…brilliant!….too freakin funny…I loved it
klampert: my husband is gonna be jealous. HE’S the funny one in the family!
alece: well, we’re gonna have to work on that – just gimme your voice with your moving face and i’ll be happy!
HAHAHAHA!!! Was that mic even hooked up???
You’re killin me with this one! And I’m so jealous of your editing!!
Tam:
i was wondering if anyone would notice the mic situation. it was TOTALLY a prop. and i didn’t tell Sharon that it wouldn’t work… i figured we’d need it to keep from talking over each other (which good friends OFTEN do!).
it did the trick – and when we were finished, she looked at the mic and paused and said: does this even work???
i laughed and said “nope, its not even plugged in!”
her eyes got SO wide and she said: “mahn-dee, i thought it was real! that’s why i kept leaning into it!!!!”
HE HE HE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was very cute. Now Jonah’s going to be walking around saying “hi nigh, brine kai” with his cheeks pinched together.
Sarah: I’M SO SORRY!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!
That was great! My best friend Kim and I have been saying we’re going to do a video and have sooo failed! Loved it.
Good Lord!
I literally had tears running down my cheeks I was laughing so hard…I ran into Sharon’s room and gave her a hug! My roommate is Irish and not just Irish NORTHERN Irish!!
my voice with my moving face? this is all i’ve got: http://www.thriveafrica.org/2007/10/thrive-africa-ministry-video/
that is beautiful. fabulous i absolutely enjoyed it =) although i feel kinda bad making the 18th post….
That was brilliant! I was wondering about the mic. So, are you going to give Southern Accent lessons?
Mandy, that was a great video. You two must have a lot of fun together. I loved the diction lesson. I think you have a natural talent for producing videos. Steven Speilberg look out.
My grandmother did speak Irish Gaeilge (Gaelic). She tried to teach me a little, but I think it’s a very hard language to learn.
the first part of the video was very mr. rogers -esque, what with putting on your gloves and jacket and boots and all. that part made me laugh just as much as the Irish lesson. and the microphone made me chuckle. funny that you said “i ain’t right”… that was gonna be my comment. you ain’t right. but you are funny… and quite the ham
Fabulous! I love it! You both have great accents. :0)
cute! does she call you “mundy”?
and my favorite parts:
“these are my favorite boots”
and
“isn’t wee french?”
How about….”teach me how to speak Irish”
eh?
Danielle: YES! she totally calls me “mundy” or “mahn-dee”… you know what’s funny, she and i have gabbed SO much that i don’t even notice her accent anymore. i can TOTALLY understand everything she says, even when she leaves rambling messages on my voicemail that drew can’t decipher. i LOVE it!!!
Cheryl: thinkin’ about it. do you think y’all will make good students??? according to Sharon, you didn’t do so well with the “how now brown cow” bit. he he he!!!
Alece: YAY!
The only thing that would have made that video better is if the wee irish girl got hit by a bus.
Mandy,
I tried my best, I think I was in the upper percentile and got dragged down
…will that do?
I did this with y’all. Sitting on my couch to end my St. Patrick’s Day. My husband had to come see what I was laughing so hard about! “Why are you doing that to your cheeks?” he said, which only made me LAUGH HARDER!!!
Yay, Mandy, to see you in “real” life! Keep the videos coming. (I might have to switch to a Mac so I can make cool videos, too.)

Northern Irish accent that she has is crap. Southern Irish is nice.

That was AWESOME.
That’s one of my favorite things to say! (How now brown cow)…Except not Irish. Even still, I was flabbergasted that that is what she chose to teach us. Haha.
