From Basis of Millenial Faith by Hamilton
From the New Testament times to the present, the Church of Christ has been a hopeful church. Pessimism has no place in the Christian consciousness. No matter how dark the days or how discouraging the outlook of the world, Christians, who understand the teaching of the Word of God, and believe it to be true, have universally been optimists. Optimists, not because they believed that man was becoming better and better and making the world constantly a better place in which to live, or because they shut their eyes to the evils that surrounded them in the world, but because they knew the God in whom they trusted, and knew that His promises can never fail of fulfillment.

Good, powerful, true thoughts.
Hey, how did worship leading for chapel go the other day?
big sigh… man, i am definitely not optimistic enough.
One reason I blog with many Christians, mostly Christians actually, is we share the belief that we can make the world a better place for future generations. We are both hopeful of the future, even if it is for different reason.
That we may place our faith in different things is less important than that we both have an abundance of faith. Time is too precious to waste on complaining. Faith is what keeps us getting up each day to face life’s challenges.
Like my Christians friends I can’t wait for tomorrow.
His promises are wonderful! I can just forget to think upon them and get caught up in all the junk!
We can be “sisters overflowing with hope”
SO GOOD and so true.
