hmmm…was he squinting?

Perfecting the winter tan UP HERE takes time and practice and patience and persistence…which you may not have in large quantities right now since 1) winter is over and B) your vacation to Florida is coming up.

But here are a few pointers for next year…

1) Take your vitamins. I don’t mean Centrum or One-A-Day or anything with ingredients you can’t pronounce. I mean go to “purityproducts.com” and get yourself THE PERFECT MULTI. (Real name, by the way. And, Yes, I take ‘em. At my age, I need all the help I can get! ) But the vitamins will give you a healthy, natural complexion without all that bottled fake stuff. And they do a body good, too!

2) Go skiing. No kidding. The sun is very low in the sky during winter in TheNorthEast, but when you go skiing–or do any activity where you have so much fun outside you ACTUALLY SERIOUSLY LITERALLY FORGET about the cold–the sunlight gets relfected off the snow and you can end up with a good, rich winter facial tan.

3) Get some rest. Don’t stress. “Don’t project/Don’t connect/Protect/Don’t expect/Suggest!” (Sorry. That was my impression of The Edge. I feel numb! ) But seriously, stress takes a tremendous toll on the body and we end up using more energy to fight the stress. And that takes a toll on us after a while so we get all pale-y faced.

4) Eat right. And by that, I don’t mean the American way of eating right where nutrition is measured in the unhealthy trinity of fat, calories, and cholesterol…I mean, EAT RIGHT. Don’t just go organic, go macro. You’d be surprised at the difference.

5) Forget I said anything and put on that fake stuff.

so. my friends have a pool. i spent the afternoon out there yesterday. and, this morning, my boss has told me TWICE to cut out early this afternoon and enjoy the sunshine. its temporary – it’ll be in the 50s next week.
so, i’m about 30 minutes away from being back out at the pool.
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holly: i think i’d get a sunburn but nobody would be able to see it!!! HOW SAD!?!
