Just relaxing - not with the girls. Will go to the prayer cottage this morning. Maybe ride Amos later. Have a walk-in anniversary party this afternoon just down the street. No hustle bustle today. Hope you have a great day Mandy.

Papa: i rode a horse once. the kind where there are a lot of horses trained to walk in a line with people on them. but the guide started a trot for a half-mile or so. and i didn’t have the whole knee concept down, so i bounced and giggled the ENTIRE TIME. then i could hardly walk afterwards!
Danielle: sounds like a QUIET saturday - we LIKE those!

wow, I wonder how he makes it look like it’s standing up!
Saturday nights for me include exciting activities such as ringing up bell peppers, diet coke, nails and toilet plungers. Including but not limited to, getting cussed out for asking for ID, enduring the stares of toothless old men and enjoying the sounds of whining children who are not mine.
good times.

In the library all day. The funny thing is that I’m actually really jazzed to write this paper. Yep, I’m a nerd.

I need to go exercise. UGH!! I have been putting this walk off for several days.
But whenever I do go I get new ideas to blog and write about.
Then off in this 80 degree sunshine
I’m off to get the church set up and a BBQ.
Great Day!!

im actually working at our church’s food pantry this morning. Kass and I are filling in for someone so they can attend a meeting at church. We’re looking forward to it. Then there’s band rehearsal at 4 - then service at 6. Then tomorrow there are services at 8ish, 9:45 and 11:30. My weekends are always full and blessed and a blast! They’re my favorite days of the week!
Love you missy!!!

That sidewalk art is amazing…was it in Europe…I’ve never seen sidewalk art in the states but I’ve never visited the Northeast, or the Western coast, for that matter…
My gracious, Tam, it’s good you love it!!!
At some point I will get out of bed and deadhead flowers, or sit by the pond and watch the fish…beautiful day in Texas!!!

Those are incredible pictures. I love seeing this kind of creative thinking in outdoor art. I also admire artist who work with ice and sand sculptures.
I am heading out the door to the beach. My weekends are much like my week days, at least in summer.

Oh the art was awesome; thank you so much for sharing!
We went to see Iron Man last night–I LOVED it! A little depressing at the war front but all in all, great acting and wonderful effects.
My best friend and I went to the mall to help her buy an outfit for her post-wedding-reception today. She is married to our pastor and their wedding was out of town so they are having a smaller, local reception for our church family, local churches and their pastors and the general community. We’re going to that at 4 and then hubby’s cousin’s birthday bbq at 6. PHEW
Tomorrow: Church in the morning and then hubby goes to work right after church and I will be hanging out with a SR at the local college who I have been mentoring. I think we’re going to dinner [Chilis?] and then shopping [window for me!!]

That guy is the best I’ve seen. We have something here annually in Valencia, CA called the Bella Via. Amazing sidewalk artists come and do their stuff on the streets (closed off of course) and for a solid 1/4 to 1/2 mile strip, there are hundreds of chalk-art pieces to view. Unbelievable stuff.
My weekend (and the next 5 days) is all about being Mr Mom. For her birthday, I sent my wife out of town to see a bunch of our old friends in Tulsa (we lived there for 11 years before moving here 7 years ago). Anyway, I’m trying to keep our 4 kids alive ’til she gets back. My only coherent thought from now ’til Wednesday night will be “what was I thinking?!!?” Truly, she deserves the break.
