The most amazing thing to me is that my body is used as an incubater for another human being! I just cannot fathom how it truly works, even though I know how it works. I stand amazed at the awesomeness of God in creating life. Right now I am about 7 weeks pregnant and I can feel the changes in my body already, some are soooooooooo annoying, but I know it is because a baby is growing inside my womb. Literally, amazing!

Each new life represents a fresh start, a new beginning. The look of wonder in a new born’s eyes. Am I looking at the next Einstein, the next Mother Teresa, the next Walt Disney or Sally Ride.

Children represent our future, our hope for a better one.

Like Love said new born children, and all animals, are just so darn cute!

God does wonders when bringing babies into our lives. They’re new. They’re fresh [most of the time]. Babies promote life. Here’s to life!!!

Playing peek-a-boo!

Seeing the purest smile on a baby’s face.

Watching as a human being–so young she can’t even talk–finds my (then) bandaged thumb so mysterious and captivating.

That time my oldest niece, who plans to join The Air Force later this year, discovered my teeth. And couldn’t stop touching them with her fingers.

Or the puppies in the pet store. The little golden retriever. Who was just sleeping away so peacefully. I wanted to take her home and name her “Teddy.” ‘Cause she looked like a little living breathing teddy bear.

And that time time I held little Amber at church. She wasn’t even a year old. I held her. And I stood. And I sang. And I praised God.

AND THEN I remembered that the way we see new life is a fraction of how God sees a 98-year-old man. Just a baby in His eternal.

So then I went with Richard and Ann to visit Frank. Who IS 98. And I laughed when Richard told me that Frank had said, “Don’t buy me green bananas! I don’t know if I’ll live long enough to eat ‘em!”

A child of God.

Ready to go Home.

After 98 YEARS.
