um.
holy cow.
yes. this means 1,300 unread posts in my feed reader yesterday morning. that might be because i’m subscribed to an UNGODLY amount of blogs.
or, its because ALL Y’ALL type too much.
what do i do???? i’ll start with this:
kota tagged me. i don’t usually stop long enough to do these tag thingies, but its kota. we like kota. and its short. we like short. and its easy. we like easy.
1. Write the title to your memoir using 6 words
2. Post it on your blog
3. Link to the person that tagged you
4. Tag five more blogs
1. just a girl, just one life
2. DONE!
3. kota – inCahoots
4. some real life people: kara, sarah, holly, stephanie, jill, rachel, megan. i don’t follow rules well. sorry
so.
yesterday, met-on-the-net asked me what i was reading as of late. thought i’d ask you, since its Sunday: what are you reading in your bible right now?
I’m going back to John. I’ve been bouncing around a bit, and I need the steady comfort of John’s words right now.
Proverbs. Revisiting wisdom and God’s instruction regarding it.
I don’t have a blogline. I only subscribe to “Grit & Glory” because I wanted to learn about Alece and Niel’s adventures in the field.
Like she said, “Some people get it. Some people don’t. And that’s okay.”
I’m reading 1 Corinthians right now…
…and I’ve got to get going or I’ll be late for church.
But don’t worry about me, Mandy. I only post once a week. Plenty of time for you to read.
Well I just finished a 32-week study of Matthew at Bible Study Fellowship, so I started looking at Galatians. It’s short, LOL!! Not sure where I’ll go after that.
I saw this tag here and there and we have decided that mine would be:
“Does that giraffe come in pink?”
and Daniel said his was:
“I was the only one laughing”
These days I am reading Raggamuffin Gosspel and Captivating. Good stuff. Oh, you said in the Bible…Numbers. Aaron and Moses. Good stuff there too. Follow directions, Kristi.
I’ve started a new study of the Sermon on the Mount – foundational sutff, there.
Hope you had a restorative vacation and are renewed for ministry.
I am reading Jeremiah and honestly it depresses me. I have to jump over and read something in the New Testiment sometimes to cheer myself back up. God just seems so upset and everyone is dying. Or going to die or at least wish they had. Depressed yet?
HOw do I get a blogline? It would simplify my life I think.
My pastor has been doing a series out of the book of James, so I have been doing my own reading/study there.
brandy!!!!!!!!!!!!

make sure you put the “subscribe” button thingy in your mozilla firefox if you can. ok?
michelle: this morning i actually envied people who don’t go to church and have TWO free days in the weekend. does that mean i’m going to hell???
Julie: 32 weeks? dang girl!!!!!
I certainly hope not…or I’ll be there too.
I’m not a regular attender
Used to attend 4x a week, not anymore. Funny thing is, I think I know Him better now.
i know what you mean about knowing Him better… sometimes we just need to get REAL quiet for a minute. someone i love dearly gave up on “church” a while ago. but he makes sure to take “sunday walks” with the Good Lord. reminds me of the pre-fallen Edenic existence. there’s something fresh and pure about that.
but, you know, right after i thought that about envying those who have two free days in the weekend, i had a second thought: we are so privileged to get to go. we are privileged Christians to have the freedom to attend church – and have the churches to go to.
some of us (who read here) don’t even have a decent church to attend, but are in desperate spiritual need of the Body – can you imagine!?!
and then, to take it even further, it makes me so thankful that we can connect with other believers without the fear of being killed.
i’ll be at church next Sunday, and not because i’m the worship leader.
i go because i can.
and because they can’t.
but if they could, they would.
*sniff*
But that also makes me more thankful for the blogs I read. I do get fed, just in a different way right now. But still, craving that unity and fellowship face to face.
I am SO CRAVING a church family right now. We have not found a church yet, or really been able to go even if we did have one. Between Jake’s work schedule and sick kiddos, we haven’t been able to “church hunt” yet.
Okay, I don’t think I have mozilla firefox….how do I know that?? Wait, I’ll just email you.
Ok Mandy, I have to ask…that’s 1300 posts, so are you going to read all the comments that go along with them?
In my general reading I was in Isaiah yesterday. I am doing a daily devotional book that keeps me in Luke.
hislife: comments? i wish, but no way jose’… i’m gonna be doing good to just catch up on the ones that are on my regular reading list. i might have to post an apology to those that i don’t get to.
okay, I went to the bloglines and added a few in just to see, and now I can’t find them on my “account” there.
Am I retarded???
I must say if you even thought about reading some of them, I would have to say this blogging addiction is a wee bit more serious than we were thinking.
There is so much good stuff out there to read, I hate to miss it too. So, if you are wearing glasses in your next MTTV we’ll know you have seriously strained your eyes.
there should be a left-hand column with a tab listing all your “feeds”…
is there a teeny tiny sideways triangle on the outline of the left side of the screen?
hislife: TRUST ME – i AIN’T getting through all of them. just the essentials.
I feel your pain!
THAT IS CRAZY!
I HAVE THE SOLUTION!!!!!
Just make sure you read mine – Love is ALL you need!
You can get to wherever you need to go from my blogroll ( – and theirs)

Oh and last Word i read was 2 Cor 3, courtesy of one i Love.

I’m reading through I Samuel right now. Samuel, Saul, David, Jonathan…so much to learn from.
So have you made it through all 1300 posts yet?
NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!
i got about halfway on monday, then totally lost steam. but i’m not reading ALL of them. just all of yours.
