welcome to whatever wednesday.
where WHATEVER is bound to happen.
hope you stick around - it’s always a wild ride. i could barely make out last week’s progression, but it looked like y’all had ton o’ fun without me!
TheNorEaster closed us out last week with the question: what’s the difference between a fruit and a vegetable?
great question! here’s what ask dr. dictionary said: A fruit is actually the sweet, ripened ovary or ovaries of a seed-bearing plant. *we know y’all don’t read these answers* A vegetable, in contrast, is an herbaceous plant cultivated for an edible part (seeds, roots, stems, leaves, bulbs, tubers, or nonsweet fruits). *if you’re reading, say “random!” in the comments* So, to be really nitpicky, a fruit could be a vegetable, but a vegetable could not be a fruit.
ovaries, huh? wow…
now, class, let’s all thank dr. dictionary: “thank you dr. dictionary!”
moving on…
our starter question: is it better to deal with a runny nose by shoving tissue paper into it so it won’t drip, or by wiping/blowing?
the rules: answer the last, leave the next. be sure to hit “refresh” before “submit” because chances are somebody already beat ya to it! or just randomly comment throughout.
go!

lovewillbringustogether // May 21, 2008 at 11:28 pm
Tam - living on the West (’later’ time zone) Coast is NOT easy , for us TV watchers huh?
Especially when East Coasters just have to blog about shows without concern for their fellow Americans (or Aussies)
There is nothing more frustrating that watching an East Coast broadcast of late news highlights that gives you the result of the program the same channel is about to broadcast next in your time zone for the first time! - Thank YOU, Channel 10! grrr.

edfromct // May 22, 2008 at 1:18 am
New Q: Has Drew needed to clean up and poop or vomit?
A: My guess is he would live the dirty jobs for his women to take car of.
Q: Which is more annoying your partners snoring or their bed farts?
edfromct // May 22, 2008 at 1:21 am
Sorry I meant to say he would leave the dirty jobs to his “woman”, not his “women”. Of course I don’t really know Drew.
tam // May 22, 2008 at 1:22 am
A: BOTH. YES. BOTH. They are equally irritating and unacceptable. Bed farts should never be allowed while still awake. Snoring? If you snore next to me I WILL kick you. I will also plug your nose. I will shake the bed violently. I will turn the tv up to its loudest volume! Dont. Mess. With. Me.

edfromct // May 22, 2008 at 1:27 am
Q: HAve you ever met anyone with a split personality?

edfromct // May 22, 2008 at 1:57 am
Q: What is your favorite animal and why?
A: The platypus. Part reptile and part mammal, it’s got a little bit of everything thrown in the mix. It’s an animal that isn’t supposed to exist. It’s a mystery and I love mysteries.

cathi stegall // May 22, 2008 at 2:29 am
but what if it looked like this
{comments are officially closed for the evening, thank you for stopping by}
that’s prettier, tam, much prettier. and cordial, to say the least.
lovewillbringustogether // May 22, 2008 at 3:36 am
‘Dont. Mess. With. Me.’
the punctuation kind of gives you the impression Tam’s serious concerning the snoring/bed-fart issue huh???
I think i’ll go mess with Mandy instead then - now, where did i put her meds?
(you can have that as a new q if you like?)
oh - comments may be officially closed for the evening but since it’s 3 pm here and there is WAY TOO MUCH officialdom ruling our lives already, i’m unofficially re-opening comments for ‘the duration’
Tam’s right - taking control of Mandy’s Blog IS fun
‘Morning Miss Mandy

TheNorEaster // May 22, 2008 at 4:53 am
A: Tam, Yes, you should close the comments. Because we know it never works and I always liked giving you and Mandy a hard time.
Q: If Tam is taking control of Mandy’s blog, does that mean Tam would never need a dictionairy to know the difference between a fruit and a vegetable…?
mandythompson // May 22, 2008 at 7:09 am
