I don’t know unplugging time…I have to travel to Deltona for dinner with the parents, and to do laundry…[ on a side note: have you seen " My House in Umbria" my friend gave me to watch with my momma]
JM: “do whatever needs to be done around the house” THAT’S RIGHT!!!
LSOF: that definitely sounds like unplugging. if you’re not on the computer, you’ve unplugged!
everything you do but throw in some kids and take out the worship leading and writing songs. Oh, add some wine and chocolate and bon-bons….no, that’s not right. Oh yeah, that’s when I’m asleep dreaming.
I wondered, until this post, whether you had children or not. Now I know. Wink!
My unplugged time? teach, study, cook, clean, laundry, nag, cajole, yammer, read, garden, work out, grocery shop, contemplate, pray, plan, sudoku. Your list makes me long for the “coffee with friends” days b.c. (before children).
My favorite way to truly unplug is a hot bath and a book … and if the kids are in bed, I can actually do that uninterrupted!
Any Jane Austen book
Dark chocolate
Bubble bath
Sit outside listening to locusts at dusk
Talk to much-missed friends back home
Slow down and see the world through my toddler’s eyes
Plant flowers (and swear to remember to water them this time . . .)
Wow – this list reminds me how little time I actually give to these types of things! Time to slow down I think.
