Rachel’s poverty

I’m privileged to have a friend that works closely to fight urban poverty. She’s a beautiful blonde from Texas, who the Lord has led right into influencing the invisible people of our cities.

Today Rachel writes about how she landed in the middle of the problems of our cities – how she’s spent years working in different venues, all with the common thread of helping fight this one person at a time.

I don’t think she’d mind me telling you that she’s just an everyday average person – with a not-so-average opportunity to change the world around her.

May her words challenge and inspire you.

  1. That was really inspiring. I love it when I hear of stories of people stepping our when it doesn’t really make sense. It doesn’t make me feel like I am the odd one on the block.
This was a cool idea…I’ll have to go and check out some others.
