I’m Back!

Good morning!

:)

I’m back from one heck of a girls’ weekend. Kansas City will never be the same. wow.

We laughed, cried (well, Kristi & Tam & Cathi cried – I just stopped breathing), and laughed some more. Oh wow the memories. We had sweet sweet fellowship together, shared stories, shared heartaches, shared victories and excitement, shared questions and worries, and really just shared our hearts.

We also shared our computers – well, they shared theirs. I didn’t bring mine. But it was amazing to look at those laptops and think: “Wow. That’s how I’ve gotten to know them. Wow…”

I’m not gonna have the words for this one, y’all… So I think I’m not even gonna try.

Just know I’m indescribably blessed. And I have a ton of memories to wrap around my heart.

Tell me – what’s one of your favorite friend memories??

  1. Great friend memories?

Amazing connection, talking way into the night about our lives and philosophies. Lots of questions back and forth. Understanding and grace.

That always speaks of a wonderful friendship to me. :)

  2. Four girls sitting on the floor in a circle. We were real opening up our hearts to what was really going on inside of us. Then each chose someone specifically to pray for. There was tearing and snot and kleenex piles. But the amazing thing was because we opened up deeply we were filled deeply. And our connection with each other grew stronger.
I felt so loved. My heart was lighter and filled with joy. A God moment to say the least. Words can’t describe the impact it had on me. Yep, that is one of my favorite friend memories.

  3. One of my favorite friend moments happened recently on my 40th birthday. My girlfriend that I have known 30 years was standing on one side of me. My husband of 17 years was standing on the other. I opened a box from the Round Table Friends (Oklahoma Girls). It was a party in a box. I started to cry and for that moment it didn’t seem to matter that my mother once again forgot my birthday. Then my friend leaned over and said…..Teri, Your Mom Sucks! We all started laughing, because this wasn’t the first birthday she forgot and it won’t be the last! It was just my friends timing was perfect! ;)

  4. Welcome Back! So glad you had such a wonderful Girls trip.
My favorite friend memory was going to fall festival at Kimmswick, Missouri with ALL of my daughters right before transfering to Georgia, a terribly sweet and fun time.

  5. sounds like a blast! One of my fond memories is recent: I was sitting in the car at midnight with one of my best friends and we were both sharing our difficutlies on getting pregnant. It was so conforting and we even got to pray about our situtations. Thank God for AMAZING FRIENDS!!!

  6. One of my favorite memories is my best friend & I in Tahoe. Skiing before she got ‘too pregnant’ to go – she was only 3 months. It ended up snowing pretty hard that weekend. Walked through the quiet storm by the Lake, read books, skiied, and drove home before I-80 closed.
I have been so blessed to have a friendship that’s lasted 28 years and is still going strong!!!

  7. I’ve gone to Vegas with my best friend (and my family) on two occasions (each time we were lucky enough to have our own room), once after freshman year of high school, and again just this last summer, after freshman year of college. Something about Vegas makes us share on a totally different level and come back even closer than we were before.

I’m blessed enough to have a friendship that only gets stronger when miles are put between us.
