Sometimes I feel like I dream more than I actually live.

I have so many dreams.

I’m doing what I know how to in order to live out these dreams, but sometimes its very difficult to pursue my dreams when my life is so loud. : (

Last night I dreamed I got to play in the snow. I miss the snow.

Awake dreaming, yes. Most of my life I am living in a dream… and I am only 2 years into my 30s. But I have soooooo many more dreams.

I dream…of making an impact on this world, whether it’s the world immediately around me, or the world across oceans, or both…of working in psychology (in one form or another) for the rest of my life…of having a family…of providing for more than just my family.

Of course, the specifics are still unclear to me.

But I like to think I’m working toward them.

I am taking violin lessons right now. It has been a dream to learn for the last 20 years. I have been putting it off because I thought I was too old. The way I look at it now is in 10 years I will be a decent 44 year old violin player!

I feel sure I have a dream I’m just not exactly sure what it is yet.

It seems like I’m getting glimpses here and there – like a have a few random puzzle pieces but without the big picture on the box I’m unsure how they fit together yet.

Do I dream – yes.

Do I have a dream – yes.

What is it – to impact the world.

Are you chasing after it – yes – with the small things that I do everyday, the steps that I take, the words that I write, the words that I chose to speak or not speak, all with the thought that everything matters.

I am chasing my dream by living a mission trip daily in my own home for my wife and kids – and as a result for me.

I am chasing a dream by praying in unison with my brothers and sisters, in church, or by myself.

I am chasing a dream by choosing to make a difference in the life of someone, somewhere, at some point.

I am chasing a dream with God help – for I am not strong enough otherwise. My steps may be small, but they trickle down.

i’m dreaming right now.
i’m dreaming of a happy world…a world of starbucks and bunnies.
[this stegall got NO sleep last night...and i have no idea what bunnies has to do w/ that, but they're pretty, and i like pretty things. and fluffy. hooray for fluffy]
