Who are we kidding? I’m not gonna be on the computer as much in the next few days, are you? Didn’t think so. I’m posting one-a-days ’til next week. Stories. Memories. Lessons learned.
While I’m not on the net, I’ll be playing with my nephews and eating too much of my mama’s cooking. I might even work on my tan (um. not really. but a girl can dream, right?!)…
So, what will you be doing for Thanksgiving?

hanging out with my nieces and nephew. probably some ps2 involved and food. no tan, though… it is 40 here!
going to my Mema and Papa’s in waycross… about 30 of us will gather there. before we eat, we stand in a circle outside and take turns saying something we’re thankful for. we have the parade on. 2 turkeys- one fried one oven-cooked… and WAY too much other food and dessert. we all eat multiple plate fulls (but everybody knows i’m always in the running for putting down the most food). then while the kiddies play outside (used to be my spot), most of the rest of us find a place to crash for a nap. recliner, couch, floor, corner, bed, floor, floor. it’s quite a sight. then we get up and heat up left-overs.
sitting by the beach… Tanning?? No probably writing… I have a writing project due…
definately resting after a big Thanksgiving dinner, since the weather is expected in the 70′s.
Hanging out with my family.
Not working on my tan.
Hopefully wearing sweaters and resisting pumkin pie.
I Heart Family.
I don’t heart pumpkin pie.
I don’t like pumpkin pie either, I like warmed Pecan pie with ice cream. Or maybe a chocolate mousse.
how about pecan pie?
oh i didn’t see that last comment. i love a good slice of warm pecan pie with coffee or milk. and we always had plenty of it growing up in a pecan orchard! we had pecans all kinds of ways.
going to Atlanta to spend Thanksgiving with my parents and my brother and sister in law and two nieces as well as my grandmother and an assortment of cousins.
Now that I am working overnight and watching my son….we will be heading over to our in-laws on Thurdays morning. I’ll come back to work later that night. Then I’ll drive back over to our in-laws and pickup my family to go to Chicago to visit my parents. It sounds exhausting, but it’ll be worth it.
It will just be us, but that is good because this is my first time cooking the entire meal. Pray for me, or my family
HOUSTONNNNNN!!!!!!!
I can’t wait!
What I can wait for is having to drive all over that place to spend thanksgiving at three separate homes. Big family.
Me? Well, I have been mind-blogging about this very thing today. I will probably post tonight or tomorrow.
Basically, though, I’ll be making too much food for too few people.
L: Mind-blogging… I like that!
Christi: nope. I like blueberry pie. Chocolate pie. And strawberry pie. Thatzaboutit.
Steph: The Thompsons will be praying. I’d like to have an apt to come home to.
We have invited some single Airmen over who werent going home for Thanksgiving. A lot of Airmen opt out of going home for Thanksgiving so they can make it home for Christmas. So, Jake invited a few to our house. After talking tonight, it looks like theres a few more that could come…. Im hoping we have a big enough turkey.
And dang it, Im sick, and have to cook and clean. This would be so easy if I wasnt sick. I live for entertaining. But not when Im sick.
I will also be missing my family.
comment moderating? ooh, when did this happen? why? email me, don’t approve this comment.
wait wait wait!!!
There are people who dont like pumpkin pie?!?!
Oh the horror! Seriously people!
weirdo.
and a mojito is a minty cocktail. you might like it. people usually either love them or hate them.
stop by for a cup of coffee if you want while you’re in these parts. i know you won’t have time. but if you do, there’s the invite. free entertainment too. (marley)
@Bran, it’s not horror… it’s reality..
Pumpkin pie is just okay
I’ll be cooking the entire meal (‘cept for the jar of turkey gravy I bought). My in-laws are coming over, and it’ll just be the 5 of us. I’m sure there will be some Wii involved…mom-in-law has already mentioned doing some bowling! Looking forward to an easy, relaxed afternoon.
Have a great Turkey Day!!!
I’ll be spending Thanksgiving with my cousin, Inga, and her step-son Edward.
Edward cooks deep fried turkey. Best turkey I have had, very moist, and the fried skin taste great.
Two of my dear friends from Wisconsin are coming to visit me…I love these ladies so much! I can’t wait! I hope you have a great Thanksgiving Mandy – you bless me!
Just hanging out with my guys. Cooking turkey and pumpkin pie for the 3 of us…and hoping my son makes cheesecake!!!
Happy Thanksgiving, y’all…
Headin’ to the Promised Land.
God Bless Texas.
Amen.
stuffing my face while hanging with the fam! happy thanksgiving mandy!
I am staying home. It is good!!
PS I am with you and Heidi….
I don’t heart Pumpkin Pie either.

“I’m posting one-a-days ’til next week. Stories. Memories. Lessons learned.”
You know…I’m kind of jealous. Because I’m sort of stuck on “once-a-weeks.” Been that way since I started writing on my blog.
(Although, that did kind of change when Carl started the Bloggers’ Bible Study. So I guess that means I’m up to…”twice-a-weeks…?”)
Dinner at my aunt’s house, which is just across the street. First holiday since my cousin got married. Should be interesting.
When dinner is over, I’m going to Disneyland with my mom and maybe my brother to meet up with my best friend and her mom. I think I’m more excited about that then dinner itself.
Then black friday tradition, and the yard decorating will begin.
Dinner at our house with my outlaws. Looking forward to it. I love the Turkey, but not the clean up. Since I cook all week, the big holiday meals are all Brenda’s. Don’t get me wrong I will still be helping (and getting in the way). Wishing you and yours a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!!
Bouncing around to about FIVE different Thanksgivings… I vote my family condenses and makes one HUGE Thanksgiving… but my opinion is kind of low on the totem pole being as I’m one of the younger ones…
All sounds like fun. We don’t do Thanksgiving in South Africa. But we will be working on our tans!
It’s not a holiday in this country but I found a “large chicken” sized turkey and we have invited our American neighbors. Pumpkin pie is done, apple will be made before kids go off to school (I hope) and somehow, everything will magically come together because I am not spending ALL day in the kitchen. Happy Thanksgiving!
my thanksgiving was fun, but foggy. for me.
