  1. That ain’t right!

Alece, read the book!!! Then watch the movie 100 times…throw away ALL cliff notes and this pathetic rendition, as well.

Yes, I am a true Austen fan.

    Mandy! How could you!?

    OK, it’s funny…a bit.

  2. I’m not really a movie goer.
I haven’t seen the movie, nor have I read the book. Don’t try to convince me…it’s too long! All of it is too long, and mushy.
    and old englishy.

  3. Megan: When I’m desperate for a quick post, I’ll dig through stumbleupon. Works every time! :)

Red: I’m a true fan. Don’t go throwin’ the baby out with the bath water here!

Mandy: Oh no honey! Colin all the way. The 2-hour recent version just doesn’t do it justice. Plus, the final scene is total crap! Austen never wrote it like that.

  4. I love it. How creative.

I can’t believe the movie debate is even open for discussion…Colin all the way. And I think his Elizabeth is quite pretty!

This makes me want to read and watch it all over again!

  5. Okay, I think this is my favorite one:

Elizabeth Bennet and Caroline Bingley are attending the event Take a Turn about the Room.

    or

Mrs. Bennet is all in an uproar.

    or

Elizabeth Bennet thought that the pigs were got into the garden, but it was only Lady Catherine and her daughter.

    or

Fitzwilliam Darcy tagged Elizabeth Bennet in his note My Character Requires This to be Written and Read

    or

Mrs. Bennet joined the group Widows of Men Killed in Duels

  6. omg, I laughed and laughed!! Fantastic! I’m a fan of all things P&P (except for terrible renditions … don’t like the Keira Knightly version. It had a couple things going for it, and about 15 things going against it). Probably my favorite line was, “Mrs. Bennet joined the group Widows of Men Killed in Duels.” LOL!!

PS: have you ever heard of Georgette Heyer? If not – READ The Convenient Marriage (for starters). Any fan of Austen will love it. :D
