Who doesn’t know someone who’s been strongly affected by our current economic recession?
We all have to face it.
But, I think I’m learning to get through these tight times by focusing on what I do have, which is SO much more than most:
- A comfortable apartment.
- More clothes than I ever wear.
- A car that runs.
- A paycheck. Two, actually.
- Friends who love, support, understand, and encourage me.
- An incredible husband who makes me feel safe when the economy does not.
What about you? What do you have?

The scary thing is that God is in the process of shaking some things in my life and it is so far out of my comfort zone right now…..especially when the economy is what it is…..but as David said, he has never seen the righteous forsaken or begging for bread!

Thank God. I have what I have. Though considered little to some, to most of the world population I’m very rich man.
?? Russ: Don’t know what happened to your first link in there.
Thanks for posting it…
H: You had to mention #5, didn’t you?
This economy has done wonders for my perspective. I don’t like my job. My house is too small. I can’t lose weight. But those things mean I have a job. I have a house to live in. And clearly, I have enough food to eat.
And oh yeah, more important than any of that STUFF, I have a God who loves me, good perspective or not.
this is so funny. i just posted on my blog about God’s recent revelation to me that i have everything i need.
i have:
1) a job that gets me home by 5:00
2) a 2 bedroom apartment that gives me the room to spread out and make stuff
3) a bunch of raw materials
4) an opportunity to learn about discipline and vision in the midst of unideal circumstances
5) a God who doesn’t give up on me, even when i don’t always return the favor.
1) A nice apartment at school and a house to go home to
2) Family
3) Friends that never cease to amaze me
4) A car
5) An opportunity for an education, even if it takes loans to do it
6) My dreams
1. Jesus who always provides for my body, soul and spirit.
2. A Great husband
3. My wonderful kids
4. Friends who are always there for me
5. Family who are the best
I am blessed
