But what I do have is this…

Who doesn’t know someone who’s been strongly affected by our current economic recession?

We all have to face it.

But, I think I’m learning to get through these tight times by focusing on what I do have, which is SO much more than most:

  1. A comfortable apartment.
  2. More clothes than I ever wear.
  3. A car that runs.
  4. A paycheck. Two, actually.
  5. Friends who love, support, understand, and encourage me.
  6. An incredible husband who makes me feel safe when the economy does not.

What about you? What do you have?

The scary thing is that God is in the process of shaking some things in my life and it is so far out of my comfort zone right now…..especially when the economy is what it is…..but as David said, he has never seen the righteous forsaken or begging for bread!

  4. This economy has done wonders for my perspective. I don’t like my job. My house is too small. I can’t lose weight. But those things mean I have a job. I have a house to live in. And clearly, I have enough food to eat.

And oh yeah, more important than any of that STUFF, I have a God who loves me, good perspective or not.
