The Giveaway has Begun!!!

Hi.

Just a little tidbit about me: Christy Nockels is one of my favorite female artists.

So, we’ll be giving away THREE copies of Christy Nockels’ latest CD – Life Light Up – on this here blog! I’m so crazy excited about this (thanks to Kat’s secret life). I’ve been listening to Christy’s album for the past few days and there are some serious treasures to be had. I’ve put “A Mighty Fortress” and “By Our Love” on repeat and can’t get enough.

To participate, all you have to do is leave a question in the comment section – namely, something that would spark a potential blog post in my corner of the www. (This is what you call a win-win: I win by collecting blog post ideas, and you win by possibly getting a free copy of the album).

Submissions will be received until noon (eastern standard time) on Friday, July 31st. At that time, I will allow my crazy husband to pick his three favorite questions, and those three commenters will be the winners – announced later that day. Yay! You’ve got 48 hours to rock it!

  1. Hey Mandy,

Well, to arrive at my question I needed a little inspiration from Keri Smith- my wife’s favorite artist. So though I cannot assume full originality, let’s assume I footnoted her somewhere in my question…

If you had to give away something that you loved, what would it be and why specifically did you choose that thing over something else?

  2. Man, a Christy Nockels CD for free sounds realllly good right now!
You’re asked to sing one song or share one verse that best conveys the message of the Gospel to a crowd of thousands..maybe millions. Like a last chance ministry moment.

  3. here’s my ?? so I can WIN that CD.

Have you yet experienced the creative drain when you are physically and mentally exhausted and what are some good tips/thoughts on continuing in spiritual growth during those hard times.

    that good enough for ya??

    ♥♥♥

  4. If your roles were reversed, you were the husband, Drew was the wife, how different would your lives be?

    Related:

How would you be as a man?

How would Drew be as a woman?

  5. If you could go anywhere and be anyone, would you pick a different life, or a different set of talents? How have you learned to love what you have and who you are?

  6. Hi Mandy…

How do you work with keys of songs from screeching male worship leaders…do you lower the key, sing it low, or skip the song? How do you decide a song is appropriate for worship in general.

  7. Seeing as I’m trying to win the CD for a young lady in our youth group that’s mentoring an even younger lady completely selflessly – she’s a huge CN fan…

I’d like to ask what you feel mentoring has added to your life – how have you grown?

  8. Hey mandy…

Why have you not visited RI

Why are you not coming to the sojourn concert Aug 15th

Why are you not singing at my church on the 16th considering Alastair will be visiting then too!!

  9. Snap. I am never really good at stuff like this. Dang it. But you know…I like stuff. Yeah, I like stuff, so here goes:

    Okay, so um, okay.

I have been wrestling with this question for some time. Maybe your peeps in blogland can help answer it because I certainly don’t want to post this on my blog. I know…naughty, naughty. But I am so confused by this whole support situation. We have some of the coolest churches and people backing us ever. Like God has totally orchestrated those people and we “feel” totally supported. But sometimes it “feels” like we are pulling teeth to get Gods people “the church” to support missions. Like for some reason missions is/are their smallest budget and some churches say they only support those who are members of their church. So then if both of those statements are true, then how is anybody ever supposed to get funded? It is crazy. I know from our own experience it is ONLY by Gods miracles that we have enough money every month to stay here because on paper it doesn’t make any sense at all. Why do you think churches and people are like that? Do you think people don’t care about missions any more? That it isn’t relevant? Huh….Weird.

  10. There are so many good questions and nothing inspired me to come up with my own. UGH!!
Okay, my question… WHY is Christy Nockels one of your favorite artists? You said she’s your favorite artist, but why? What is it about her that makes you rank her into your favorite category.

I would love to win, because I really like her too.

  11. lovin’ the Christy Nockels CD. She led a beautiful time of worship at National Worship Leader Conf last week. I know just who I’ll give this CD to… :)

My question is about calling. How did (and do) you and Drew both experience God calling you to the kind of ministry you are doing and are working toward?

  12. I only have one question at the moment: How do I get my two month old son to stop crying? (I really don’t care about the cd at the moment, just having him sleep when he’s supposed to would be awesome!)

  13. Actually, related to my last question (think faster, click slower)… how do you/should I respond to my spouse when she’s hurting emotionally and there’s nothing I can do about it? (our son’s crying has really been getting to her lately.)
