It. Has. A. Music. Room.

Hopefully, in just a few months, once the paperwork has been completed, the deal has been closed, and we’ve moved our things in, I’ll be able to give you the grand tour.

But for now, we’re simply “Under Contract.” But I can show you where I will hopefully be recording in a few short months.

You walk in the front door, past the immaculate landscaping that we will (eventually) get to.

Through the soon-to-be-painted living room and past the fireplace.

Into the way-too-green-to-be-seen kitchen.

Stopping to gaze at the coolest feature of the house – a banquette.

Through the laundry room, into the garage, and towards the other corner of the garage.

You open the door to see this 6 by 12 room:

Which will very quickly be converted into a snazzy, inspiring, soundproof home recording studio.

And I can sing as loudly as I want, because I’ve got three doors, and a laundry room between me & the rest of the house.

I better start warming up those vocal chords now!

  1. Of course it does!!! God delivers!!

    Never expect less my friend!!

(Put a porch swing in for me… or even a tire swing, I need a spot to be able to write when I come to visit!!! :D )

  2. Insanely jealous.

And way to go with the B&W shots to hide the “interesting” colours :D

Seriously, so happy for you & Drew, Mandy. I’m sure the next few months will fly. Though not so fast that the 100 songs don’t get completed, of course…

  3. THANK YOU for sharing this! Totally a reminder that we serve a God who is into giving us good things—a reminder to believe Him more fully. :)

I’m so glad He’s blessing you!

  4. That is a beautiful house. I am happy, and excited, for you and Drew.

With all those trees I am sure the backyard will be a great please to hang out. Plenty of room perhaps for a BBQ pit.

Thats a nice looking fireplace, which you could have made better use of during the cold Northeast winters.

Your own music room, what a great feature. I also notice a small TV in the kitchen. You can pop in a cooking CD for all those bacon recipes.

  5. Congrats to you! That house is very cute! Will look forward to the “after” shots. Hope you weren’t being sarcastic about the banquette…I really think those are neat!
