I think I skipped a WW last week. Sorry. Blame it on the house madness.
Last time’s question. Hmm… Let’s see. It was from the beautiful and funny and talented and married (sorry guys) JR:

Thanksgiving has really really really sneaked up on me this year. I still feel like it’s, oh, August, or something. I have no idea what has happened. I barely remember youth football season happening. So. My answer is useless.

It’s almost over because this year is cRa$y. What’s you favorite flavor of Christmas ice cream?
A: Chocolate. But that has nothing to do with Christmas. I’ve actually never heard of Christmas ice cream…
Q: Favorite holiday?
you know.. like holiday flavors? candy cane? peppermint stick? egg nog? snow cream?
mmm… snow cream.
A: i’m a scrooge-ette. i hate them all.
Q: what’s your favorite thanksgiving thing? (teach me, wise ones.)
(ooohhh. snow cream. I had the real thing once, a few winters ago. Didn’t like it much at all. sorry!)
A: Remembering to be Thankful. I’m not a fan of the food, really. But I am a HUGE fan of the spirit behind the day. I think it’s important. I also think it’s ironic that we celebrate a day in our nation’s history when we were “at peace” with the natives, even though the reality of the story is quite the opposite. We just forget what “we” did to Native Americans. As if it didn’t happen… But that’s not even the question you’re asking, is it?
Q: Favorite thanksgiving food?
A: Smoked ham and corbread dressing (with Cranberry sauce, of course)
Q: What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten on Thanksgiving?
I meant to say “corNbread” dressing!

a compete dinner from my cooking light cookbook. it didnt taste…welcoming. no fat, no gravy, no sweetness. bad idea, really.

First spot, usually. Though I might drive up and down a row or two.
Q. If you weren’t doing what you did now for a living, what would you do?
A: What I’m about to do in January!

get the blow torch and a ladle.
Q: what is your favorite day of the week and why?
A: Sunday, hands down. I get to meet with the rest of the church in a large gathering, sing/lead songs of praise to God, and draw encouragement from God’s word and other believers. Then I get the rest of the day off to have fun with my wife and kids. What’s not to love?
Q: what’s your favorite Sunday afternoon activity?
A: NAP NAP NAP!!!
Q: What’s one thing your church does well?
it doesnt segregate itself. recognizes it is a small part of the big picture. not the only part of it.

A: umm, like five minutes ago. all worked up about something at work and cussing to myself.

A: Depends on who I’m talking to.

A: yes. Many times. Most recently, the times when I’m in the car and my bladder can’t take any more. Yep. Those times always.

A: Oh good question. In times past, I had more posts than I knew what to do with… Now, not so much. I think I’m becoming less introspective, actually. But I’ve got some good stuff to share in the near future. And I’m eager to get on that. I really am. But, right now? I wade through. I don’t even know if I’m answering your question!

A: hmm…. favourite day of the week? Probably Saturday… it’s the most hectic, but it’s when I meet with my church family. Of the year? Any bank holiday, baby!
