agreeing with all those who recommend pictures – and telling people what they mean to you. The leaving can be surreal and later – you may forget parts so you need pictures – kind of like having children but different. Let others help you and don’t let the small things get to you – it WILL all get done. Best of all – rejoice that your path is being directed by someone greater than yourselves.

Tell people what they mean to you.
Or what a ‘something’ has meant to you so that you can give voice to the emotions.
I think that’s very important.

lasts are hard for me. and i think i make it harder on myself by being so mindful of the lastness.

I agree…take lots of pictures. Cry if you need to, but make them tears of joy because these are the people closest to you and they are excited, too, about your new beginning. If needed, write down all the memories you’ve made and will make before the move. And…pray. =)

Truly, embrace the emotion. FEEL this moment because it is a good thing. It is an expression of love that you are grieving right now. It won’t last forever you will move on, but don’t rush it. That’s what I have learned in all my leavings. I wrote about it on that post. Love you Mandy.

i do not do the good-byes and lasts very well. So i dont know what to tell you…except that crying is totally ok…its what got me through several moves.

let the tears roll & take lots of pictures. its only been 4.5 months since we moved here and I still look @ our “goodbye” book & remember the “lasts” fondly. Its difficult, but there’s a simple beauty in spending quality time w/ people you love, taking it all in, embracing, sharing, and then venturing into a new journey. really excited for you.
