Impossible Things

It’s time for a creative challenge: Each of us can come up with one “impossible thing.”

Where’d I get this wacky idea? From this blog post about boosting creativity. The thought is to stretch your imagination by coming up with “impossible things.”

So, I’m thinking we can all take a minute today, stretch our creative muscle, and come up with an impossible thing or two. Something that’s not out there. Something impossible…

Ok?

Ready!

And….

…Stretch!!!

  1. There is before me a vision of truth
    A truth shared by all
    And as proof
There is no bondage of golden chain
    No rhetoric to drive insane
    Everyone with different views
Discuss importance with not to lose
All are fed and war is gone
And it’s finally legal to load my bong

  2. A potion that makes your bones as soft as jello and as strong as titanium, so you can contort yourself into any position you’d like!

A pen that writes down the thoughts of everyone in the room. It only works for its owner. And it only has one owner until that person dies. And if you lose the pen, it uses a tracking system to find you again and stay with you. It is unstealable.

A towel that does all the drying work for you. No hands needed. It’s installed with a micro-sized GPS that reads the contours of your body. Just stand there. (That one’s weird…)

Shoes that can read into your soul and know your hidden desires, and then take over when destiny lies close, making sure you don’t miss your opportunity.

A time-pausing machine. It only works up to 3 times a day, for up to 1 hour at a time, for a total of 3 hours a day. It’s efficient, and it ensures you don’t get too carried away in a single day.

  3. A song crafting cheat machine.

One that would take that feeling, that idea, that surge of emotions and poetry that you get all at once when you’re inspired. Ya know the “song” that’s inside your soul, the one you have to chisel away for hours, days, or even years to get to.

This machine would latch onto that “nugget” deep inside you and craft a song from that pure inspiration. It would still be your song. It would still be your thoughts, tears, emotions, and even sweat contained in the song, this machine would just pull out what was already there.

Of course, you could only use it once or twice a year, because if you use it more than that you’ll turn into a frog.

  4. a machine that will print out pictures of special moments in your life when an ordinary camera just wouldn’t suffice in capturing the moment.

a medicine you can drink to stop cancer/aids.

a robot that will bring you starbucks coffee for half the price you pay for it anytime you crave some liquid faith.

and non-fattening-healthy-way-good-for-you chocolate, choco-chip cookies, brownies and in & out burgers.

    =]

  5. ok so between this question and Tam’s “what is your purpose” blog earlier this week my brain is allll kinds of cramped up!

    hmmm….

    creating a flying motorcycle

figuring out how to get my husband to let me adopt another pug :)

    • Week or so ago my mom was telling me about someone she knows that is gonna have ones to adopt if I wanted one (Pug). I was like ahhhhh Jenny (internally smiling big at the thought of you). Then responded to her that sometimes two Chihuahuas was a lot.

  6. Being in two places at once. Or at least having that teleporter.
    My dad still being alive.
Thinking myself thin :) I know the drill, it’s just doing it. So if I could cut out the hard work….
Doing exactly what I should be doing & being happy at it :)

Furniture/belongings that fold up tiny, so small you can fit them in your pocket. Oh, and if I could do that with people I love so I don’t have to leave them, even better.

  7. i am sooooo not creative like this. but…. stretching my imagination…

a way to eat (and drink!) whatever i want, with no weight gain… aaaah, dreamy.
