I have a “haven’t-met-yet” friend in town who I’ ve recently discovered is a fantastic budding blogger…
Today is in honor of her [insert round of applause here] because… well, I’m totally stealing her idea:
We’re playing the Nerdy Numbers game. It’s easy. Just use numbers to celebrate the nerd in you.
Like this:
- 3 computer screens. Sometimes I have 3 screens going at once in my office.
- 6 dollars and 30 cents. That’s how much my favorite mechanical pencil costs.
- 3 of my favorite mechanical pencils. I have 3 of them. 1) the original that I found 5 years ago, scratched and dirtied on the asphalt after having been run over in the road on a side street that goes to the beach. 2) the other 1 I bought about 3 years ago (I bought 2. Lost 1). 3) the other other 1 that I bought recently after I realized I lost 1 of the 2 I bought.
Speaking of that lost pencil…
- ZERO episodes left in Lost. Zero. Not happy about that at all.
Ok, your turn! Give me your nerdy numbers.

Ummm okay, lets try this.
1 Mac book
1 iPhone
1 Me being a PC hater (this after my PC at work crashed, yes I know even hard drives on Macs can crash)
1 Season of Lost seen & 1 desire to watch the finale to see how it all ends.
1 Not so nerdy person.
I’m a big fan of that first one!
0 – number of episodes i’ve seen for LOST.
-gasp-
haha, me too!
4: for the four vents that are blowing cool fresh A/C in my car
2: For the two REESE’S I had for lunch
1: For the Dr Pepper I am drinking
5: Five more hours I have to work today.
I met Dr. Pepper a while ago. Yes, the man who invented Dr. Pepper… He owned a house on a very expensive little island in our area. VURRY expensive. But, he was sweet. It was quite an experience. I sang music for him. He had Valets and Maids and… well… All very surreal, now that I think about it.
and why haven’t you ever blogged about this before? It sounds like an amazing story!
Hi friend!
I know! I thought the same thing when I wrote that comment.
REALLY NERDY NUMBERS LOLOL
2 – 2 computer screens I use at work
at least 8 – program windows I have open at once while I am working – using both screens!
1 – the number of Microsoft certifications I have
1 – the number of Microsoft certifications I have to get (for now!)
too numerous to count – the number of times I check my email or my blog stats (shameless LOL); also the number of hours I spent chatting on Gmail when I should be working….
2 – favourite nerdy shows – Big Bang Theory and Numb3rs LOL
Dude. Yep. I think you win the nerdy award.
Yay! I’ll send you my snail mail address so I can claim my prize
(There WAS a prize for winning, right?)
ROFL
shoot. I forgot to add the fine-print that says “absolutely no prizes given for any of the following comments”
LOVE those nerdy shows. I wish CBS would put Big Bang online to watch. I missed quite a few of Numb3r’s last season so I’m gonna need to watch both of those via DVD once they come out.
Maybe CBS wouidn’t – but I found a site that does have some of the series … and almost full seasons too … I watch shows constantly from http://www.fastpasstv.com/ ….. you can thank me later
Check out http://www.fastpasstv.com/tv/numb3rs/ for Seasons 5 and 6
Yes, yes, I take thanks in monetary donations …. *grin*

Yup that was FRICKIN awesome. I should blow it up as a poster in my cubicle (hey there’s another nerdy number – 1 cubicle! HA!)
I’ve one cube too, well maybe a half cube cause we have half walls.
3 hours — the length of my favorite class this quarter
$8.99/3 — the price of a 3-pack of my favorite type of pen
12 — books I hope to read this summer
8 — pages in my notebook used to help various people with algebra. I totally geeked out when they asked. I *may* have another page in there I used to solve solve problems again, but using different methods.
5 — years I’ve been watching Friends every night as I go to sleep. I wish I had a tally of how many times I’ve watched all 10 seasons
TWELVE??? Wow. You must be a speed reader. I don’t think I’ve read twelve books in the past 4 years.
Haha I read quickly…but not quite a speed reader. It’ll be the last time I have a guaranteed 3 months off, so I’m gonna try to make the most of it and make a dent in my ever-growing stack of unread books.
That’s awesome, Marisa! Kill ‘em
