Ladies Week has Finally Arrived!!

And you probably didn’t know you were waiting on it. :)

I’m not sure how I got on this list of lady power-bloggers, but Toby asked me to share a bit about infertility, specifically with reference to the spiritual struggle that ensues — blaming God — facing doubts in faith — etc…  When I previewed the video, it was like an out of body experience. Like I was hearing those words, out of my own mouth, for the first time. My perspective shifted in a significant way after hearing myself talk about this. But, you’ll have to wait to find out what I said…

It all starts tomorrow at whatsthislifefor.org.

Quietude

That’s what I’m going to call this thing that I need… This thing that helps me create. This thing that silences all the other voices so I can hear my own soul whisper out words of hope and imagination.
Quietude. When everything else needs no attention and brings no distraction. Quietude. The act of listening to all the sounds that stir from within when all around has been silenced.

It’s more than solitude. Solitude can still be active and noisy and distracting. Quietude brings calm and peace and space to think. Space to dream. Space to listen.

Quietude. That’s what brought me to write this post.
Do you have quietude in your life?

this could be one of the best days in the history of me.com

So, y’all know I try to come through when you start asking for something around here–it’s the least I can do to show gratitude for the fact that y’all even read this nonsense. And recently the masses have spoken. Nay: begged (ahem: Toby, Bernard).

Thanks to Fred McKinnon for pointing out the error of my ways, now all of you can subscribe to replies when you leave a comment on this here little blog. And, yes, it’s my fault that this never happened. Because I didn’t check the painfully important box beside the setting that enables this feature.

“My bad. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. How can I make it up to you?” And all the other things I’m supposed to say to rectify the situation.

Speaking of: Does the word “rectify” remind you of any other words that none of us like to say, hear, read, or think…?

Just askin’

So, go ahead. Comment away. And check that little box, and I will reply, and your email will tell you. It’s maaaagic.
