We rallied for a women’s conference this past weekend. And dare I say this is the best worship band I’ve ever played with? It’s pretty dang close, for sure. The unity among the group was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The vocals were stunning. Keys inspiring. The bass player had serious passion. And, well, they let me play the drums.
If you’re in the south and could really use a worship team for your next women’s event, we’re your band. Give me a holler.

Lets see, six chicks, in the south, we could call the group Dixie Hip Chicks ??
It has a ring to it!
Well. I didn’t know you played drums. Yes, I know that any serious musician possesses SOME rhythmic skills that can translate to basic beat keeping, but to actually sit down behind a kit and perform a set is somewhat of a different situation. That’s cool.
Bernard… I’d rather play the drums than any other instrument.
Any day.
And I would LOVE to play drums more than either of my other two instruments. Alas, I don’t have time to learn… or practice.
Bummer. I wanna hear you guys!
Well… hmmm… we’ll have to come up with an excuse for you to run sound.
Yes, i found the little button! What a great post, I love to hear your thoughts! By the way- Jerry said he had copied the sessions 2 and 3. He did’nt get 1. I forgot to pick them up Sun.morn. But- you can ask Travis to burn them for you. I would have like to hear session 1… anyway. I can’t wait to see your response show up in my inbox woo hoo!
By the way, after doing that conference several times over the years, I kept wondering what was so different. I know it was the drums and bass to give me the joy of sitting in my little space instead of feeling I had to fill up more room. anyway it was so freeing to have you playing back there. And it was really great. solid and tasteful. I was bragging about you to my husband..
I LOVED it! I don’t think I have ever played/experienced worship like that. It all clicked and we were of a single mind, focus and heart – free rein – or maybe Free “Reign” or Free “Rain”- but definitely FREE. You girls are awesome in your talents and spirit.
I’m hoping we can do this more often!!
wishing i still lived in the south!
There’s still time.
id love to hear you on live kit.
in person.
right now.
dangit.
didn’t I play for you when I was there?
no! you refused to you.
and that made me tam very unhappy.
Actually for real laughing out loud at you. Have you turned into a cavewoman or something?
Not laughing at the refusal. I think you’re right about that. Just laughing at how you typed. crazy lady.
seriously.
not happy, was i.
now im yoda.
I only wish could’ve been there myself! I know that it was fantastic! You can use my wife for events like that whenever ya’ll like – makes my day to see her gifts put to good use!
This is great!! Amen and amen— yes yes yes— what unity
what freedom— sheer freedom— the Lord united our hearts and like His words says— He commands blessing where there is unity—psalm 133—- and what a blessing we rec’d. So— Lord— the question is— when can we do this again?!?!?!?!?!?
)))
ps–who’d ever think a jersey girl could make it into dixie chick worship band?!?!? hahah
You fit in PERFECTLY!!!
I’m dreaming of the next time. I think we all want to do this more often.
So it took me a while to find you and not with your guitar! You go girl for playing drums!
