Believe it or not, Christmas is upon us. Don’t believe me? Just go to Target. I went the week before Thanksgiving, and Christmas was starting to take over. Yes. The Christmas decor is already out. You can buy new ornaments TODAY! Or you can ask any staff member here at The Chapel. We’ve been planning our Christmas Eve service for a week now. Yep. Christmas is upon us!
BUT, the good news is that it’s not too late to trade-in that “naughty” for some “nice” to get in good with Santa. The elves are still keeping tally. If you could make nice this Thanksgiving, and you just might tip the scales!
Besides, if we were completely honest, we’d own up to the fact that we already know what we want for Christmas.
So, go ahead. Own up. Whaddya want for Christmas?
under the tree, i want a bacon cheeseburger from five guys, some cajun fries, and a diet dr. pepper — no, make that two diet dr. peppers. and in my stocking i’ll have a milkshake.
You’re easy to please! But, those gifts won’t last long at all, will they?
i’m not as easy to please as you might think, mandy. it’s tough getting a burger, fries, and a milkshake to tanzania in a timely manner.
but you’re right, those gifts definitely wouldn’t last long.
I keep forgetting you live on the other side of the world, James! I’m so sorry.
hmmm…. Lemme see what I can do. (wait for google)
Sorry James.
Nevermind… Google failed me.
To go home….and I should get my wish, but only as a New Years present…..we’ll take it!
That sounds fantastic! Glad to hear you’ll get it, too, Toby. Y’all deserve it.
Mandy, I lost my Bible in Germany this fall. I’m using this very small one right now. I need a new Bible though!
I also really want a pair of very cute boots.
I’m pretty sure Santa can work that out. Just be sure to tell your husband.
Got it yesterday!! Whoopee!! Mama had her Annual ‘checkup’ since her cancer surgery in June – test results were negative! Clean! A HUGE Answer to prayer. Sorry Santa, but we thank Jesus for this gift!
They smiled and said, ‘See ya in a year!’
Praise the LORD papa!!! That is certainly something to celebrate. And, yep, Christmas will be beautiful this year!
Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass 5 string if I’m wishing for me! But if I could only make one wish for the year, it would be for my Dad to be whole again, to play the piano again, to talk, teach, preach again.
“for my Dad to be whole again…” Knowing your story, that one really struck me. wow
A positive pregnancy test? Or maybe an iPad.
I hear you on BOTH, but honey those two are so not equal.
a weekend at a bed and breakfast at the coast with my hubby.
mmmm….. One of my favorite B&B locations is St. Augustine Fla. The 2nd is Bar Harbor, Maine. Hope you get that gift Jess!
As I get older I have a harder time thinking of anything that I want. What I really want is to hug my friends who are all over the world. I get so tired of missing them. So, I asked for gift cards to Continental Airlines. That is the happiest (physical) thing I could ever receive because it will eventually grant my face-time and hugs with my closest friends.
mmm wow. Yeah. Hugs are good.
Faraway friends? not so much.
A honking huge HDMI enabled flat screen tv, wireless access and at least two solid state hard drives to stream movies online and be done with cable! Heck I want a whole man cave with surround sound and electronics everywhere!!!!!!!!!!
And that’s not too much to ask, now is it??
of course not! *grin*
I want to party like a christian in downtown st. louis with some friends and a I would never say no to a slightly used car!
Hmmm… Define “party like a christian”
umm awesome people + great music – drugs and makeout sessions (caus that is a little awkward) = party like a christian
haha Gotcha! Hope you get to do that.
I would love to become a part of the “i” family – iPad, iMac, iPhone , iPod (Upgrade).
I’m seriously considering an iPad, although I’m not sure why I’d want one. Does that make me crazy?
I want to finish upgrading my macbook after my hard drive crashed a few weeks ago. So, 2GB RAM, Office for Mac 2011, and Snow Leopard (finally and just in time for the upcoming release of Lion).
A ticket to the Stagecoach Festival (my mom and I give each other a ticket every year).
I like all of your ideas! I think I’d like a lion as well.
Ooh yes! I could totally go for a pet lion.
Maybe the presence of a lion would finally get the dog next to shut.up.
I’m totally up for testing that lion theory. My neighbor’s dog likes to howl at dawn and dusk…
Ugh. At least mine doesn’t howl. Sorry.
My neighbor’s dog barks at the air for half an hour. And of course my dog has figured out that if she so much as makes an appearance on that side of the yard, that dog will go off. I don’t know who taught my dog to be so ornery…
“ornery” – great word!
you.
at my house.
Ditto.
But the weather here might melt your face off.
Im dreading Christmas again this year, due to such drastic changes in our lifestyle. I would wish for employment with health insurance, peace for my daughter going through a divorce, my son to get his life straightened out, currently he is needing housing (living in shelter) and he is undergoing drug treatment (tough love is tough). I guess basically I want my family to be whole and happy, and sometimes I feel like that is too much to ask for.
Oh wow. I didn’t know all that was happening… And yes to tough love being tough.
What you say about the employment stuff–it’s going to effect a LOT of people this year. I think retail is going “happy holidays” earlier than ever just to give the shopping season a boost.
To graduate college.
G
that’s a good one!
I wanna be home for Christmas
Wow. yeah. I want that for you!
It took me two days — and I doubt anyone will notice at this point — but I finally figured it out: http://www.zambooie.com/twloha/detail.tpl?cart=12896417592119021&sku=TWLHOOD112
Very cool. Yes, I noticed!!
Actually, I think the one that says, “Love is the Movement” would fit me to a T.
(Glad you noticed.
)
“to a T” — not referencing t-shirts, I assume.
Not referencing T-shirts. Maybe sweatshirts, but not T-shirts. Yeah, it would fit this writer…
…to a T.
