Headspace, Heartspace

Over the past year or so, I’ve become acquainted with a handful of selfless visionaries in the Nashville/Franklin area. They are creative and they are passionate about serving other artists and creatives. Chad Jarnagin is one of them, and he’s leading a group that is crafting a series of days to serve the servants, inspire those who bring inspiration and creativity to the Church and our culture at large.

The event, Luminous, will run from May 9 to 11. And it will be a breath of fresh air.

In their words:

Anyone from a variety of creative arts, communications, and ministries are invited to attend to be inspired and encouraged at Luminous. There will be artists, communicators, filmmakers, writers, musicians, designers, and many others in attendance; the young, the seasoned, and the aspiring are all welcomed.

Chad told me about Luminous last fall. Big-eyed and grinning, his face lit up and his hands flew as he explained the Luminous experience. We talked about finding time and places to reflect, meditate. We talked about “headspace” and “heartspace” in life, quieting the noise, pulling away, feeding our souls. He knew it’d be something I’d benefit from. He knew I was one of the multitude that are wrung out from creative endeavors and could use a bit of Light and clarity and inspiration. He knew that I’d want to be a part of this. And he’s right.

And I have the privilege of offering this event to you as well, because I know you and I know that you could probably use a bit of headspace and heartspace in your life. Check out the lineup and details at luminousproject.com.
