last night was an incredible night for me… i’m sure, if anyone were observing, it would’ve looked like a normal run-of-the-mill evening.
nope. not for me.
last night i sat around with two of my girlfriends from church. aaaahhhhhh…… one was in pajamas, one cooked dinner, and one (me) just stretched out on the couch and laughed!
quality girl-time is hard to come by up here in seminary. but, there are snippets. maybe at a retreat, a conference, a baby shower (there are LOTS of those!), at a study group session, at a prayer group, at a chick-flick night, etc.
last night was at the top of the list. for no special reason. it was just special.
we shared stories. we cried. we talked about boys. we talked about our best friends. we talked about our families. we talked about our future dreams. we talked about boys again.
and we ate chocolate…
the clock kept ticking. the hands of time kept revolving. the hours passed. the moon rose higher. the eyelids grew heavier. and the cat fell asleep.
eventually we had to give in and go home…. but, OH, how i hated watching it come to an end….
so, have any of you figured out how to stop time and make those moments last???
