here at whatever wednesday we have a long and random conversation about whatever. you just answer the last question and leave the next question.

Traciejane left our final question last week: what is one of your dreams for your life?

wow. i think my main dream in life is to make a difference in the world – to feel like “i” am contributing – like “i” have something to offer. is that too simple? i don’t know. sometimes i have felt like i’m achieving this dream, but other times i feel like i’m not even close. just depends on how much i’m contributing. (on another note, if you are actually still reading this you know i sometimes leave secret questions. now that the Celtics and Tiger Woods are in the news, i was wondering your thoughts on sports: if you are a fan, leave me a “ha!” in the comments. if you don’t know what all the fuss is about, leave me a “lol” in there somewhere. ok. that’ll do it for today. y’all have fun with the secret question.)

how did i conquer my addiction?

by completing all TEN seasons in about 7 months. yes, that’s TEN years in SEVEN months. and that’s the ONLY way i could loosen the grip that the show had on me. whew.

i’m SO sad that Phoebe & Joey never got married because they are PERFECT for each other… equally disappointed that Joey never found true love (well, other than that confusing situation with Rachel).

still think Ross is NOT smooth enough for Rachel. but ok. fine. better for her to be in love with him and staying, than for her to be in stupid Paris. and i DIED when Gunther professed his love to her. wow

but, i’ve just GOTTA ask: why is CHANDLER a father to TWO children??? why??? i mean, seriously, when is he going to grow up?!?

when did the ’80s become vintage?

so, as they were headed out the door, she says: “don’t you love these sunglasses? they are vintage ’80s!”…. i responded with shock and confusion: “um, when did the ’80s become vintage!?!” … then the young owner of the sunglasses laughed and said “uh oh… time to go. i gotta get outta here now!”…. and i laughed even louder and said “yeah! leave NOW!!! i’m traumatized!”

this was after our mini-conversation about her six weeks of filming for Am’s Nxt Top Model. she had some interesting stuff to say about the show.

she just finished taping right before Christmas. she was only able to make 4 phone calls during the six week experience… so she’s missed her family LOTS! she said the time taping that show was crazy. no sleep. hectic schedule. isolated from everyone. no cell phones. no music. no nothing. just all those stressed out hormonal girls doing wild shoots and fighting.

sounds realistic, huh?

after taping she moved back home (while maintaining her supermodel looks) and will get a regular job and just hang out like she’d never been on tv. why? bc ALL the participants had to do that… NOBODY can know who won. nobody. if anyone gives away the ending of the show, they’ll be strapped with a $5 mil law suit.

so, we’ll see how REAL reality TV really is!

and, um, about the vintage ’80s sunglasses……

if items from the ’80s are considered vintage, and i was born in the ’70s, does that make me an antique????
