Someone asked me "Why the people? Why now? Who are you painting?" These figures are you, the viewer. They are me, as I perceive the transcendent energy of our world. Placing the human form within the context of art brings the viewer into the reality I am attempting to paint. The understanding is strong. You see yourself in the painting, as I've always seen you in these paintings.
